I dont get why people think 1k for this is to much? I mean think about , it people pay like 2k for termi slips or like 4k for full AKR system .......and let be real here . Even a full system doesn't do much. Changes the sound some and looks cool sure but in terms of all out performance not much .
Full clutchless down shifting is a massive performance gain

If you put it that way, I kind of agree. Just fitting something like that aftermarket is very worrying.

Not saying it's bulletproof but when JarelJ posts it for a forum sale he's already tested it and uses it on his bike. He's the Manager of Ducati Omaha.

Definitely Jarel's recommendation/involvement went a long way for me to risk a good chunk of change on the product.
Plus it doesn't reflash the original ecu. It fits in between the rbw throttle and ecu and blips on a pressure sensor so the risk of it messing up something that couldnt be resolved by simply disconnecting it was reduced.
I guess I may have been a little giddy having just test ridden a 1299S with the DQS downshift to risk a grand to have the same on my Tri but i'm very happy I did.

its a great system and works as described. As Sammo said fitting was easy and its just time taken really that needs to be factored. Is 1k a bit rich? probably. Is 500 bucks closer to where 99% of owners will jump in, even as an impulse buy, yeah probably but at the end of the day the other units out there will run you the same and maybe more.
I liked the fact (as Sammo also said) that there was no dicking about with the OEM ECU and that it can be removed to standard at anytime in about 45mins.

Like the guys said, J ran it and tested it and stands by the product, if he can, then so can you.

The unit is absolutely great. Its designed for hard riding and the downshifts/blips are butter smooth.... Lurrrvvvveee it!!!

when you guys installed the pro system how did you get to the front bolt of the load cell rod? Did you crack the line to the slave loose? Or did you take the bolts that actually hold the slave on to the bike?

Brosiah i took off all the bolts on the slave and moved it out of the way to fit the the shift rod

Yes, that's the correct way to do it, no need to crack the banjo bolt on the clutch line open and potentially let air into the system, just take the 3 bolts off that hold the slave in place and pull it off. Do it slowly and make sure you don't lose the little plastic spacer that is on the inside of the slave. Then after you've installed the shift rod, re-install the slave in the reverse of how you took it off. Tighten the 3 bolts progressively in a pattern, don't tighten one bolt all the way down first and then do the rest, you might get it cocked to the side and put pressure on the clutch pushrod inside and crack that plastic spacer.

Reviving a deadish thread here but I wanted to post a review.

I've had my blip box pro equipped bike out on the track twice now and have nothing but positive feedback. I can't say anything about how well it works on the street but on the track you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between the OEM unit and the blip box pro. I haven't ridden a 1299 but I'd be really surprised if the stock unit on that bike is any better on the downshift side. I'd actually say the blip box pro is a bit ahead of the 1299 OEM setup because everything is adjustable (Mine is running out of the box settings and I see no reason to adjust it at this point though.).

It's also crazy smooth. I expected some jerkiness based on earlier posts but I got none whatsoever. Ridiculously good.

Any ideas when the auto blipper + wheelie control + launch control will be released? Earlier in this thread it was said it was in development.

quickshifting up and down. you know, once upon a time we all got by without having cellphones in our pockets, and we thought life was just dandy. If you needed to make a call, you could always find a pay phone, well, somewhere.

Now try and imagine life without a smartphone. That's what it's like riding a bike without an up/down quickshifter, after experiencing how much easier it makes life in general. On the track? Hell, these things should be on every bike, in every situation!

auto blipper is available now just need to add a strain gauge on the QS.

Tuneboy are currently working on the wheelie control and launch control but have been for ages now... Trying to get an update isn't easy i do believe they have a working prototype system/code

agreed !

Yes, no problems with RapidBike and BlipBox together. We have a few more Blip Box Pro's in stock now if anyone else wants to jump on the train! There's also a Superleggera model available now.

Just installed the BlipBox Pro (install was a breeze BTW) and took t out for a spin. This damn thing is amazing. The downshifts are buttery smooth...possibly smoother than the upshifts! Also, neutral seems easier to find now, but that just may be a placebo effect.
Definitely the best upgrade I've gotten for the bike. No more 1299 envy!
