DQS cutoff time seems long

Is there a way to adjust DQS cutoff time on the 1199S? I am riding on track and every upshift makes me almost bump my head in the windshield. Okay, that is not true, but infact, somebody watching from pitlane noticed how unsmooth my shifts are and asked me if I was chipping off the throttle which I wasn't. I experimented with shifting at lower and higher revs (ie. when red light just comes on and when full on) without any apparent difference.

-Is this normal with the 1199s DQS and I need aftermarket part for the track?
-Can I change any setting with the DQS (shorten cutoff time)?
-Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

PS: Onboard record of my last race (with GoPro deciding to switch off 2 laps too early). Race starts at 4:15.

I picked up a Translogic strain gauge direct replacement for my 1299s.

I'm not sure if the 1199s and 1299s are the same, but it was pretty slick and came pre-wired with a plug and play connector to work with the stock electronics. Didn't have to change anything other than the shift rod. Shifts are much more accurate and timely now. Made a huge difference.

They have a special kit just for this (TLS-DCS-PAN-FF-140) and you don't need their whole QS unit.
Translogic Products: Quickshifter, Powershifter, Race Gauge, Quick shifter

So this translogic works with the auto blip feature I take it?

Just got the TL QS. They do say auto-blip functions. I won't be at my bike for another few wks to install...but the shift rod is pretty thick...hope there are no clearance issues on the R!

About 15mm slop in each direction that can easily be removed. Don't get me wrong, oem works. But it could be so much better just by changing the sensor type ☺

wow, 15mm of slop is quite a bit

please let us know how it goes and if you needed to do anything special to get it installed on your R!

This was all covered in an earlier thread. I was one of the first to get this set up from TL months ago.

Not all of it.... Fitment on an 1199 ('15 R) vs 1299, that it arrives set up for std shift vs GP (swapping the blue and red wires is easy)....
