Panigale-R -- DQS U/D - works - upshifts are seamless, as previous model (2013 1199r) - downshifts during initial break-in miles, on my bike so far, are a tad notchy, binding, sticky...which i attribute to the under 6000rpm limit right now...while there are plenty of times when it feels spot on & exactly like the upshift, mostly the bike seems to want to be ridden, not monitored for rpm's - i think being unable to ride the bike normally, tends to preload the gearbox/drivetrain just a bit to cause the shifter to bind a little on downshifts...if i apply more than usual pressure on the lever then it works, but you really want it to react the same as the upshifts....which, when given "normal" throttle operation did work perfectly.......a few more miles for me, before i can prove my own hypothesis
My downshifts with QS are stupid smooth. Like have to check the dash to see if it shifted. And not at 600 miles yet. Same before and after switching to DP rearsets with GP shifting.
I try to restrain from using it because I want to keep it "old school", but I tried it and boy is it a joy! Haven't had any issues with it at all, but can't half a$$ the shifter or it won't engage. I got lazy once it didn't downshift.
