Drift HD720 On Sale Today

Did any of you grab one? I got the last one at my local bestbuy... Haven't opened to try it yet, I cant be too picky for $80 so im hoping it will at least perform decently...
 
Thanks Jay. I saw this when you posted it and ordered one online for local pickup. Got an email that my local store didn't have it in stock so I'm going to go to another to pick it up. I read what you said about not having such good audio but I'm planning on mounting this somewhere on the triple to capture the dash for track time, so I'm hoping the wind noise won't be so bad as it should be behind the screen.

I've actually got 3 GoPro 2 HDs, but like you said, the price was too good to pass up.

Same here, price too good to pass up; lots of BBY reward pts to spend. I have 2 GoPro Blacks. The Drift I'm planning for my car. BTW, it's $99 at Amazon.

Dang... good find!!! So the mounts it comes with are sufficient for most bike applications??
 
Dang...missed it, but now looking at the Ghost. I didn't want to pull the trigger on the GoPro after reading all the bad reviews of the 3.

The Hero rocks if you get the after market battery set - It has an LCD viewfinder like a real camcorder - I can't imagine using anythig else.

What do you mean missed it? The Drift is on Amazon.

The Hero 3 or some other version? I think I'm the only guy that doesn't have one of these yet.

You can sign up for their daily deals. Sometimes they have some good ones on there, plus if you woulda bought it from BestBuy you can buy the extended ACCIDENT protection for a year for only 20$, which basically means you can bash it all up and they will replace it for free... or wait and "break it" at the end of the year and upgrade it to something new if they dont carry this one anymore. All around you cant lose with BestBuy

Wow... Yeah your bikes are running very hot... I am not exactly in a cooler location and mine rarely goes higher than 217 or so... Fan kicks in and temp drops... Are your fans running ok???

Personal Opinion after i sunk over $600 into that GoPro Hero a couple months ago, Its not worth the investment, to me anyway. The Wiifi to phone option sucked, the battery (extended) sucked which you could only use if you didnt have the extended battery installed which you have to do if you want more than 20 minutes of use, it was just a lot of needed addons for a $400 camera which should include everything. Some Swear by it but all i did was Swear at it...

I should have clarified. I returned the GoPro 3 and all the crap i had to buy with it to the store after 1 week of frustration. I now have this drift i got for $79 yesterday at BestBuy, regardless of its quality, for the $500 price difference i don't think i will be that disappointed! If it works well, i will consider the Drift Ghost as well...
