Coming days I will start her cold without this accessory to check if this makes any difference?
To be continued...

Again at first cold start of the day (with original DMH alarm disconnected) the DRL stays off again and green DRL icon in dash blinks.
After about 10 minutes riding or idling a restart revives the DRL normally in most cases.

Most of the time this DRL-error occurs at first start of the day. Rest of the day DRL reactivates after restarts normally, even when many hours in between.
Seems to happen more often during colder days.
I will notify my DMH dealer of my findings.
Hopefully they can fix it finally?

@MaverickiB I haven't checked the DRL unit connector. Since already closed the nose when I read your good point.
I'll suggest this to my dealer when in for annual service.

update: V4 is in for annual service. After thorough diagnosis by dealer, the DRL itself seems unstable/faulty at cold start. Even ECU logged OBD errors for this. After all testing and arguing on my side for more than a year I’m only mildly relieved they could replicate and confirm my own experience.

Therefore Ducati BeNeLux agreed to replace the headlamp unit under warranty. we’ll c

Indeed after some formal tug-of-war with Bologna finally fixed by my Duc dealership with new light-unit under 100% DMH warranty. happy

A UK guy in one of the Facebook groups had issues with his DRLs and it ended up needing a new dashboard.

That was exactly what Bologna wanted my dealer to try first. Which they did. My DRL remained unstable. Dealer argued with factory that based on Voltage measurement and OBD2 errors fault was with high certainty Light-unit with integrated DRL itself. Proven by dealer to Bologna by connecting other DRL from other PV4 with my dashboard: DRL remained consistently stable. Finally got approval by factory to replace my Light-unit for new one with my original dashboard back in. Problem solved.

So based on your 3rd party intel this DRL error can be triggered by both a faulty dash and faulty DRL itself. In my case the Light-unit. Good luck fixing it for you too (under warranty?)!
