Ducati 1199/1299 Special Tuning Requests

Good to know you got into the 1299 ECU. If you need a 1299 to test let me know. I'm fairly local and rarely ride my bike. Too busy building/tuning cars.

why do you have the panigale R 15/16 with the 1299 in the same package in your web if they have diferents ECU?

Just finished up a few projects and got to dive into some R&D on these bikes. Seems like most common request was for fans to turn on earlier so that's what we started with for now. We have got that setup on the full lineup of 1199/1299/899/959!! We have the first fan kicking on at 190 and second fan at 199, these bikes run much better below 200, this should help :).

We also lowered the price of our handheld to $695 for the immediate future, this makes it much more competitive and more attractive to the rapidbike customers, with much better features!

Great job bren on turning my 1299s. Made the hole bike more enjoyable to ride. Smoothed out the power ban.

Is the $695 for the total package? IE, for 1199 S models, auto blip/downshift, cruise control, lauch control, and fan switch adjustability?

Does the auto blip need a new strain gauge?

Can we add the 1299 + - accessory switch to the 1199 to control cruise control?

For cruise and auto downshift, does it take up an O2 sensor's plug like it does on the tuneboy if i add the accessory switches from the 1299 for cruise, and strain gauge for auto downshift?

Any extra details would be appreciated. I am debating between you guys or Tuneboy. Just wish it was end user tuneable from you.

Oh, also forgot. How does the remote tuning work? Is there a separate price for that or is that included? and if so, what is the maximum times of remote remap or even live tuning?

I think you are jumping the gun on some of the features. The LC and cruise control are working on implementation with a few in house test subjects needed still before official mass market release. The autoblipper is on hold for now, big project on our side not as "plug and play" as anticipated, will require some heavy R&D.

As for end user, none of our products are end user capable. I find maybe 5% of my customer base are looking for that and to develop something that is end user friendly that the mass market could use (not hex tuning) would be incredibly time consuming and resource intensive, chances are most would end up doing more harm than good as well. Remote tuning from us would be a separate fee and would need full access to the tuners dyno via team viewer.

What about people that already have the tuner? Will the updated maps with the fan activation be available??

I stall my bike once every so often while taking off from the lights, a feature in your software to prevent this would be a help. I remember reading about such a feature in one of the new bikes being released but don't remember which..

Ah, ok. Any estimated time until the CC and LC are available to the masses? And does the CC need anything extra for it to work or take away anything?

No ETA, the lead engineer on that project has taken a leave of absence and I am not going to poke him on it. CC will work with the bike as it sits, nothing add-on needed.

wow you guys are amazing, just bought my tuner around thanksgiving and already adding more features. just nice to see youre still at it thanks.

No mention of cruise control on the site, did this ever make it to production?

As its still the main reason people choose Tuneboy over Brentuning I believe.

As far as I know they have not released cruise control yet (and no idea if they still hava plans to do it or not)...

I contacted them a couple of weeks ago and they still say they have no timeline for release. Given how long this has been promised, I suspect we may not see it. Perhaps the lawyers looked at the liability issues and persuaded them it was way too risky to release to the public? I ordered the Tuneboy CC, but despite shipping weeks ago, it is nowhere to be seen stateside near Los Angeles. I'm giving up on CC despite wanting it desperately...
