BT Moto / BrenTuning Tuning solutions Ducati V4

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I have a full Spark WSBK titanium system on a '23 Pani V4S. Just throwing it out there , The fellas on this forum pushed me away from BTMoto as its what i originally wanted for a tune.

So i did my research as well not just taking advice from one forum , but multiple. BT just had so many bad reviews , so i went with @DeussenEngines tune and it is flawless. Not one hiccup , tons more power. Bike feels great. Great customer service on Dans side as well. Glad i was persuaded in the right direction.

I didn't read the entire thread TBH and tune related threads always tend to be inflammatory somehow, but I'll throw in my 2 cents on BT.

I always run full systems and always a tune, but in majority of cases I keep it simple. Buy Akra and flash with Akra tune. No custom, no nothing. Never been disappointed. A different case when Akra map is simply not available and that is the case with BMW. I'm sure some tuners are more successful with certain brands than the others, but I can honestly say BT Tune on my 2024 M1000XR is great (first time I purchased one from by the way). No delays, no issues, followed instruction and bike runs great and power is much improved. For those who do not know - OEM maps on BMW 1000s are crap.

PS. I am not paid by BT, rider capable of full throttle and I do run clear clutch cover LOL

Chris’s, you didn’t immediately, (or ever) say no when I asked you if you had some affiliation with BrenTune…that gives me my answer ;-)

Buyer beware, Brentune specializes in making posts at forums like these that are designed to catch the casual observer newby Ducati owner, who doesn’t look very deeply into buying an accessory for their bike…and the buyers of Brentune do so out of ignorance OR because they buy the tune as a bragging rights accessory to post about, but don’t really RIDE these bikes.

They catch the newbies because they are efficient at being the 1st tuner out of the gates with a tune on the market for every new bike that comes out…they use a 1st to market strategy to catch new owners. But it’s precisely this strategy as to why their tunes SUCK…they make a beta version that SHOULD work okay, without ever even properly testing it or putting much care, thought, or time into it…again precisely because they want to be 1st and catch the new owners while they are still too ignorant to know they are buying crap.

Just my two cents based on experience.

You are making assumptions. Of course I don't have anything with BT your question was a stupid argument. You didn't even try the product probably or you are talkinh about many years ago. I have many friends and BT always responded fast in a day or two. The same goes for deussen responses. But the BT really smoothen my bike and make it easier to ride.

The only acceptable option than an OEM wet clutch is a dry clutch.

Clear is farkle .........

Concur. Clear cover is too tacky for me. Open air dry clutch is a statement more than anything, but boy it does not last..

Dry (slipper) clutches on these newer bikes are great for those who spend most of the time on the gas. They wear out quickly for those who are always at trailing throttle. They are designed to slip a LOT on trailing throttle, so get on the gas more or just learn to ride better.

I've always believed HD will be one of the best shorts of the new century, after Tesla of course. From a guy who still own's 6 Ducati's I think Ducati's shitting in their nest. My two riding buddies, who have 24 between them, think the same thing.
I have two and believe you're right.
Off-topic reply:
Shorting involves leverage where the rug can be pulled from under you at anytime forcing you to cover at a loss.
We've seen this happen with many stocks that are materially sensitive to governments and the investment banking crowd. I don't believe HD falls into this category but Tesla certainly does. Personal opinion of course but I would rather stand aside and look elsewhere than stepping in front of a moving train.

I don’t know if it’s been confirmed yet, but I read a rumor that there will be a new V2 platform in 2025. I’m more excited about that market segment than the super bike line.

Looking forward to the smaller Panigale iteration as well. I'm not of the riding caliber of many on this forum. My Panigale 959 was more than enough for my talent or lack thereof.

What is trailing throttle?

My take was it was rolling off the throttle in a controlled way.

Yes, it is. The point of the clutch is that it lifts the pressure plate when there is any “back” load, with more lift on higher load

…and in the past I said good things about a guy/service because it worked for me and was local/convenient, despite all the negative crap said about him. When I inevitably saw the reality first-hand I stopped supporting him and said the truth. Maybe you should consider the same, unless of course you’re financially indebted to Bren in some way. He always takes his ONE sack-rider to every forum, so maybe you're that guy?

Maybe Bren has improved, but that’s not likely and too little, too late. There are MUCH better options available.
