Well after months waiting I finally have one of these elusive, custom-made exhausts for my R. I put it on over the last two evenings and it certainly is LONGER and takes up pretty much any extra room under the fairings! I expect over 200 hp at the wheel with this system so we shall see. There were NO directions what-so-ever and I have some extra bolts and hoses, etc that I can't really figure out where they go but oh well....

Berry nice! However, skeptical hippo is skeptical on this one. Lets see the dyno result.

Awesome, does the fan need to be removed from the bike ? or,is that just another ducting for the fan to pass around the exhaust ?
Very cool

Since one picture is titled 'modified fan assembly' I would think that they are still being used

Good catch.
If the fan is still on the bike after installation, I think i will have to get this for my R.

No fan is not used with this kit

I have fitted the kit to my STD abs but have managed to keep the fan but not sure how effective it will be as you have to cut the shroud for clearance

Also the upmap that comes with the kit will not work on my ecu as its an unlock key and that map isn't loaded on my ecu. I am going to get mine remapped for the longer manifolds and hopefully keep the fan switch on as it is removed in the R upmap

Good luck trying to see 200hp. The top end is minimal as its just mostly gains in the 6000+ range to redline - with very minimal gains in total hp at the top. I have heard some disturbing reports that the dyno is nowhere near the graph that Ducati is reporting so not sure where that is going.

It does remove rear pegs and fan. Also it is spec'ed for R only. Not sure if that is R or 13 dash. The key unlocks a map so either its in the R dash only or 2013 dash (which is different than 2012).

How many 2012 dashes are left out there? I know my 12 dash is about 1 month old since being replaced.

If you get your dash replaced it may be with a 2012 dash unit. I haven't checked to see whether they are one part or two. The 2013 dash units are tied to the ecu. When you replace a 12 dash unit the mileage goes to zero. When you replace a 13, the mileage remains.

But like I said regarding the sstk manifold. It contained a key to release a map on the 13 R which I am not sure if it is not present on non-R or non-13.

Man you got me thinking about buying this to out on my R.

So just to confirm, the fan can still be left on ?

Its been me mentioned multiple times. The fan comes off. You can hack the old shroud or new shroud to try and sort if keep it on - but that is up to you. Dealer definitely won't honor any warranty related to that after going that. The normal install is fan is removed and shroud replaced.

Whew, lots of replies....lol

FAN IS REMOVED - end of story, lol.....there is a new shroud and attachment which is cut out to make room for the bigger exhaust.

NEW MAP from Ducati Corse, it is a RED unlock key and what I did to install it was to remove the old map, that came with the full Termignoni for the R model, by inserting the key and confirming DOWNLOAD, then I inserted the new key and the dash now says PRO RACING or something like that.

The bike sounds a little different but still awesome!

I WILL dyno the bike with Attack Performance here in Huntington Beach, CA. My last racebike, a 2009 Yamaha R1 with full YEC race ecu, full Akrapovic, BMC air filter and YEC velocity stacks got 80 ft/lbs torque and 170 hp at the wheel.

It's all speculation at this point but I do expect this exhaust will net REAL and significant results, otherwise, why go to the time and trouble to make it?

I go to the track on Sunday to feel the results and then the dyno in the next couple of weeks.
