Opinions on the the currently available Ducati "branded" or Logo'ed helmets? Post pictures of your favorite helmets. Im debating on getting one so just looking for some good input! Id actually like a Ducati one, I already have ones that aren't Ducati branded. Thanks!

The Ducati helmet in my AVATAR is a great design (that's why I purchased one) and is based on the Arai Vector 2.

It's not so brilliant in the wet if you have the visor 'unlocked', which you normally do to stop the fogging. Seems that rain + unlocked visor = wet on the inside!

To stop it getting chipped to death, I have applied the 3M film. So far so good.

I also purchased a Tricolore 12 on impulse. I was in Newport Beach , CA and the folks at the dealer were great and they had it in stock. I went in to get a CF trinket but my wife said "JUST GO FOR THE HELMET". God, I love that woman. Anyway the Corsair is an incredible helmet. Always been an Arai fan.

+1 on the Tricolore. Love it, and love the Corsair V. I also got lucky enough to buy it at my local shop on a sale day where any one item of gear was 20% off. In all honesty, I could have gone with a non "Ducati" Corsair V, but they are nearly all replica helmets, which I can't stand.

I for one dont like any of the ducati logo helmets. i dont like the ducati symbol all over me i feel like a moving bill board and ducati doesnt pay me. I have the bike thats all i need. i wear a suomy spec 1 r extreme, a bell rs1, and a bell star carbon. for what i paid for them you could get 1 ducati helmet (approximation). I had an arai and a shoei, and i must say the bell and the suomy in my opinion is just as good if not better. I know graphics are subjective but the graphics on the suomy is second to none and the bell star black beauty is beautiful. Here they are

Ducati branded helmets

For pure Ducati Helmets only ..

I have the Ducati AGV Dark Rider helmet along with the Ducati TWINNS Bluetooth Intercom headset. I really like the built in visor and design of this helmet.

I recently ordered the cash up front, no-return Arai Ducati Corse RXV Carbon Helmet. It has a 2 month lead time and due to DOT regulations in the USA I am not permitted to have the custom names, logo, etc put on the back. This will be my first Arai and based on what I heard it should be a very good helmet.

I'm with you. But I really wanted the Corsair V. So between plastering Ducati in me, or a replica, seemed the better of two evils. I do love Suomy graphics, just always had confidence in my Arais and hard to branch out. Do you have any direct comparison experience to Suomy and the Corsair V?

And for some reason Revzilla doesn't carry Suomy, which sucks.

i had the rx7 corsair which was the model before the V. from what i read the v has a slightly bigger visor. Hands down the suomy for me is a better helmet and thats cause it fits like it was custom made for me. they run small so i am a large in suomy compared to a medium in everything else. the inside is alcantera helmet is great. Im not saying arai isnt a great helmet cause it is but for me i will only wear a bell star or the suomy spec 1 r. the bell rs1 i bought cause of the graphics and it fits different then the star.

the RXV Carbon is a really sweet helmet i have never seen one.

I have a Aria Corsair V which is a nice lid but can be noisy when on the road for a long time but has great ventilation during the summer

Arai

When I bought my 1198 Corse they had this sweet matching helmet which was thrown in for buying such a limited bike (I probably paid for it in buying extras and service over the time I owned it)

Arai Corsair V is known as one hell of a hit with so many across the country by far! Loved the Ducati valve on it and matching scheme, and it is a sure sng fitting lid as far as helmets go. Sitting next to it is my Bell Star Cerwinske which I usually wear over the Arai due to its superior ventilation and feel.

Corsair V or RX-7 RR5

Arai has different model name here in Asia, Corsair V is called RX-7 RR5.
I have had it since when it came out on the market.
I like it a lot compare to other brands I have previously owned HJC, Suomy, AGV.
It cost me $1,700 to own one from Ducati Korea.

I have seen Arai's carbon model (Corsair V) without any Ducati logos on it, and they look pretty good too.
I think the cost is down to somewhere around $3,000...

Yes it is indeed.

The manufacturer can not put the custom logo (as advertised) on the back of the it for $65 bucks due to USA DOT regulations. In essence you can not have a logo on the back that is over the USA DOT label. This of cause means that I can and will have a skillful artist put a logo on it - especially for track use and above the DOT label for road use. It is what it is, the helmet still looks the same as in the picture I posted.

I believe it is the helmet that some professional GP riders wear and it is the only pure carbon helmet out there other than the stock Arai Carbon helmet (source: Revzilla review, Ducati and Arai). There are not many of them available and I have been advised that the ones that have been produced are also used by folks intending to participate in the Isle of Man TT.

I should have it shortly and as I said if folks are interested in pictures and a review then I will share.
