Yes it is indeed.

I should have it shortly and as I said if folks are interested in pictures and a review then I will share.

You just ruined my day. I've been looking for something to replace my beat-to-hell Bell (which looks good, but imho it's not a very quality lid), but haven't seen anything that I really liked until you posted the pic of the RXV, which is one of the most beautiful helmets I've ever seen. CC out of wallet I went to the ProItalia site, only to see the $4k price tag! Looks like I'll keep looking, but can't wait to see pics of it. Congrats.

:D

I have the dark rider helmet and thought it was pretty nice. It's made by AGV. Comfortable and the cool thing is it has a "top gun" like dark visor that drops between you and the clear visor if its sunny out. Mine has less than 4 hours on it and is in like new condition. Think I'm gonna sell it. Hit me up if interested.

April and you can try it on.

The smoked visor was extra ;-)

All great helmets along with great bikes.

The Predator helmet is very cool.

I'm not sure I have a $4k head.

So CaliDuc, tell me more about the AGV Dark Rider helmet. It is a fairly new helmet so what are your thoughts?

As for the exquisite Carbon Fibre helmet, let me know how fantastic it is when you get it and have done a few hours riding. I am contemplating the same helmet, despite it being illegal to ride with it in Australia, as it won't have the Australian Standards logo on it. But I figure if I can afford that Carbon Fibre helmet, then I can afford a few fines and demerit points as well!

Yeh, the cops in Victoria are actually checking to make sure riders are using certified helmets / visors and not imports from overseas... F&^#!ng bureaucracy!

Sure.

The Ducati Dark Rider is an AGV branded helmet in matt black, It has been on the market for a couple of years and each year I believe they slight rev it up - current version is Dark Rider 13. The Helmet has an extra special feature - the built in visor. Price wise I believe this helmet is a real bargain. It is light has excellent ventilation and with the addition of my Ducati Bluetooth and Drift HD 1080p I feel and look like some kind of hi-tech Cybernaut ;-) It is a great helmet for casual riding, however probably not up to the same spec as your Arai black Tri-helmet (great helmet you have there).

I would highly recommend checking this helmet out in person.

Side note : I would NOT recommend the Ducati TWIINS Bluetooth headset.

The built in sun visor is easily adjusted up and down within the helmet by a simple slide on the left hand side. It is very useful in the day and really helps when you get caught at night. Thus the combination of a clear outer visor and tinted inner visor make for a great night and day helmet. I believe you can get replacement inner visor from AGV, however in the USA you can not source a tinted outer visor (despite what you may of seen in some adverts for this helmet).

The only downside is that the helmet can get very noisy.

In California we are subject to some pretty strict regulations so I can relate.

On the RXV, I will provide feedback on its performance when I receive it in April.

EDIT : You can seen the Dark Rider Helmet in these pictures : http://ducati1199.com/ducati-monster/2722-2013-ducati-monster-1100-evo-pictures.html

Trust this helps.

This is my first ARAI and I love it! Better than the Schuberth I've owned before this one (but also twice the price...)

Just ordered my Nexx in flat black & red to match the front fearing on my S. Got to try it on at the Chicago bike show today and can't wait for it to show in the mail. SUPER LITE! :D

Spotted a co-worker's helmet today - I am guessing he has a lot of gloss CF on his bike...

Without a doubt, he's a "glosser". Glossers are easy to spot - chromed out, extended swingarm, mohawk helmet, glossy carbon fiber fetish, obsessed with stoppies and other tricks.

I told myself I wouldn't get a Ducati helmet, but I am kind of liking this one. I just can't seem to find anything I really like, but I'd like to get a new one this season. Tough choice between Arai, Shoei, AGV, etc.
