Ducati makes limited V2 Corse (aka Bayliss tribute)

Maybe wait to late November 2021 and see if they release a Ducati Panigale V2 Corse and see if you like that over the Bayliss.
Im not sure how a different a Corse edition would be from the Bayliss edition in regards to the important stuff? ? I would expect the corse edition would share the same brakes, same front and rear suspention, same steering damper, same lithium battery, same engine/electronics. The most obvious and most major /expected difference on a corse edition would be the livery and to a much, much, much lesser extent not having a number on the triple.

Maybe a possible corse edition would have different wheels? At any rate if the Bayliss edition has truly ended , I would wait and see if a Corse edition was released.

Can someone Photoshop what a Speciale V2 would look like? That would look better (to me) than the Bayliss edition.Remember to leave off the passenger pegs and seat.Should be easy to Photoshop as it would be almost the same appearance as a V4 Speciale.

They are starting to trickle in to US dealerships. While I doubt you will see one on the floor unless someone backs out, my dealer said his first one came in and was being prepped for delivery but I could stop by for a preview on my delivery expected next month.

While I will admit confirmation bias, when I saw it in the flesh I was blown away with how well balanced it looked between the Ducati red and additional white/green accents. I was concerned the 21 was going to be too in your face but it’s much more subtle in person than the ad copy. To me the bike looks better balanced than many of the tricolore/special liveries on other limited runs.

Too bad it’s going to be in winter storage in my basement until spring after delivery

Well, I think it’s a beautiful bike and I prefer the tri-colors over the solid red. But I cannot get along with the number 21. However, I’m sure I’d forget about it once in the saddle.

Interesting as ride reviews start to trickle in. This was not mentioned in the press releases. Translated from German in

“….Compared to the standard V2, the Panigale V2 Bayliss has clearly increased in stability. Especially on the brake, especially when braking deep into the curve, it became significantly more stable.

This is due on the one hand to the new fork, which offers a little more support or back pressure, but on the other hand also to the adapted geometry. Because the Bayliss was lowered a little in the back. This leads to a seat height 5 mm lower, 5 mm more caster and a slightly flatter steering head angle. All this contributes to greater stability on the brake….”

This thread is seriously a joke to watch. I’ve been riding Ducatis for 30 years. I ride mostly on the track these days and have a v2 Panigale for exclusive track duty. I used to have a V4S for the track. I’m a A level, consistently fast rider, and the v2 (for me) is the perfect goldilocks track bike, alongside my Aprilia RS660. It has more manageable horsepower, and is a quality piece of kit. I also have a V2 Bayliss for the street. Love it. Nothing “cheap” about either of them

Beautiful bike to look at in person. Local Dealer has 2 waiting for pick up. Ordered mine last week. I think I'm going to have fun with this bike. But just so gorgeous to look at.
