Hopefully some of you will help me to decide if it is worth to install Ducati Performance fuel cap.
I know that it looks great and it is very practical but I read before that the cap seal does not hold very well and it might start leaking in some point...

Thanks in advance for reply.

Buy a nice used one on ebay, think there is one on there now...

I have had one on my 2012 1199S since it was new and it is still like new... no issues, no leaking and no fading.

Same. I used one on my Diavel, and on my Panigale. Tight seal, great part. No issues at all.

Installed on my 2014 1199S with no leaks to date. I find filling up with gas easier over stock since the cap is no longer in the way.

I too have had no problems after a year or so - even when I can hear the fuel bubbling away in the (hot!) tank after getting home from a decent ride. Fumes, but no leaking...

No probs with mine. Ever time I open it it always hisses and spits a bit of fuel out. Defo seals well!

I always keep my 1299S in close sight (it's not my daily ride) so it doesn't worry me as such; but it is a consideration - anyone can access the fuel tank...
