careful not to get your shoe laces wrapped up in there
you speak the truth..... i have one on my 1098 and it was just cool and was something to talk about when i hang out with fellow bikers. I can admit this is the case for me anyway. I do track the bike but i'm only running intermediate and I'm there to have fun as there is not any prize money or trophy girls at a track day....

How frequent and annoying is it to maintain?
On my 1098, i changed it every 4 k miles..... i am expecting the same on my V4. For me, that means I am changing it ever other year. to replace the clutches is very quick. I take my time and i can do it in an hour or so while chilling in my garage and drinking a beer.

When I was looking at the kit I didn't see the cover like the one that comes on the R 's stock dry clutch. There were two add-on optional covers. The one you have looks awsome!

I've done 22k in 12 months, as much as I like the idea of it, Ill be sticking with a wet clutch

Yup I understand what you’re saying. I bought the conversion kit from AMS (previously linked) and was surprised to find the cover included. However, it is a part of the kit.
In fact the pictures are even more miss leading. The carbon fiber cover shown on AMS’s site (and Ducati’s) is not included in the kit. That’s the one I bought separate.

I put 3,000 miles on my Duc in the past 6months and another thousand on the other bikes.
What’s the cost for dry clutch parts to do it yourself?
like $300 assuming you dont need a spring which most people that had the work done on an R did not

So far it’s fine, zero commute and 95% is back roads. 4K seems short for a streetbike with qs but possibly the slipper action wears them out
