You realize that to turn a motorcycle you have to lean it, right? And we're not talking MotoGP-levels of lean here.

If you're afraid of lack of control over a motorcycle under normal usage you probably shouldn't be riding an 1199.

I have to disagree, if your willing to lean over that far and yet you have no control over the traffic/pedestrians/animals or road conditions then you are simply inviting something bad to happen.

It's all just risk management, you balance the risk you're willing to assume against your skill level/confidence. When I ride on the street I won't "keep up" with riders who I can lap on the track, because my risk tolerance on the street is at Granny level. Being intimately involved with the local riding scene I see all the time the consequences of people mismanaging that balance, both in terms of crashed bikes coming into our shop all the way up to people losing their lives because of it. But if you enjoy the performance side of riding, you have to get your "fix" one way or another, so I would never begrudge someone riding fast on the street as long as they're only endangering themselves. But I do my best to get them to come to the track!

You know what, I never knew that.

And your right, I have no business riding any motorcycle in fact
