I've not ridden the 1290 GT... they run about 1 year of development behind the R. So the 2021 model should be "all new" since the 2020 R is new.

The Super Adv S & R are really good. Rode one last year at COTA during the GP... had I not had the SD R, I would have bought the SA over my BMW GS

Yes. That is why it is next year.

I was really impressed with the 1250 GS I rode, but adventure bike are just not for me. If I am off pavement I am riding single track.

I considered the H2 before I bought the V4S. Completely different bike. That bike is about power, V4 is about power and handling. From the reading I did, the H2 is pretty slow for what it is stock. Quite a few bikes out-accelerate it stock for stock. You really need to be prepared to mod it to get the crazy supercharged acceleration out of it.

totally. I was going to have the shop fab a forced induction system for the Triumph like this but it wasn’t worth it

It would definitely be worth it to mod out a H2 to the max, 400 HP and everything else that goes along with it including the ludacris extended swing arm. But is there a point where it’s just unnecessary?

I ask because going from triumph 675 to Ducati 1285 big twin, the gap in enjoyment is huge. But would going from a 200hp Ducati to a 400hp stretched out drag bike be any more enjoyable than a beautiful red Ducati? It probably wouldn’t be as rewarding as a Ducati for ripping around the filthy streets cause the maneuverability suffers

If I am off pavement I am riding single track.

what is a single track? Is that like farm equipment

Well if you take single track literally, here is my nitrous equipped single track.

When I say single track I meant the definition above. Tight off road on a dirt bike or dual sport. A place where you would not want to be on a 600lb+ bike. Like the tops of mountains.
