I wouldn't call the 899 a 'premium' bike for high end buyers...it's my understanding that this bike was developed more to cater for those who can't stretch far enough to buy the 1199?
Since VW owns lamborghini, I bet they might do a tie in with them. ie collaboration on design or just a tarted up 1199 or such. Lamborghini has always had really innovative designs, think it'd be cool
You're on to something here. It won't be called an RS. It will be above the R. Coming soon
"Low capacity"= displacement
If there is anything to go by it will be a special custom decal or something like the Tri which is rare TBH.. my dealership had no Tri bikes on display and those who own one now should feel proud to have one. Maybe the black S could be that next limited color like the black 848 Corse SE.. have to wait and see..
In terms of displacement, I think Ducati have reached their threshold probably.. seeing that 1300 and 1400cc bikes like the Hayabusa or ZX-14 are not light by any means, I wonder if displacement is something they would increase. Looks like 1200cc is the sweet spot and the power to weight ratio is unrivaled for the Pani.
In terms of components, am not sure what can they put inside to make it better than the R.
Am I reading you right here?? You think the Tricolore is rare??
"we're not looking for low-cost and low capacity....".....he's saying Ducati isn't going to make cheaper, smaller displacement bikes. Your interpretation would seem to mean Ducati is looking to make high cost bikes in large numbers.
