So I been thinking how to paint a brand new v4s without ruining the oem Paint.
Some googling later I have found a product called AutoFlex.
It is a sandable and polishable Paint, which is also removable.
This paint will effectively protect the factory Paint, and is undamaged by petrol.

If this stuff is as good as it seems, it’s a dream come true for those of us who want to retain oem Paint for resale purpose, yet enjoy a custom paint job whilst we own it.

Any comments ? Or is this old news ?

It's a spray on wrap. Quality depends on the installer and how detail oriented the are. It's like a paint job and they need to remove all grills and vents or it will look like crap. Look at YouTube for bad installations.

Given the fact that you can remove the fairings to have it put on, this may eliminate the impact of a bad installer, cause there is nothing to overspray onto cause the fairings are off the bike and are clean of areas to mess up.

It should work fine.

I love the look of the Speciale but the silver frame is not my favorite. I'm thinking someone will come out with a carbon fiber cover for it to clean the look up.

not to be negative, but this bike is so mofugly it needs a thread like this just to try and make it less so. sadly, but unsurprisingly, the takeaway is that photoshop can only do so much...

here's hoping D corrects this design misstep w/ radically different bodywork to better cover this ugly duckling up when they release the R.

(it's as if they took every pleasing line from the o.g. panigale and ...... it up some, the tail notwithstanding. amazing fail. at least the 999 was a complete departure and tried something new.)

You will have to see it in real order to really get an idea, often the pictures make not the same as in real

Often what is not said is more important than what is said. I can honestly say I have read just about zero positive feedbacks on the looks dept.
There just isn’t any of that “omg , it’s so beautiful” going around.

Pitty that Duc missed the bullseye on this one.
Well for me at least.

Considering the frame is still attached to the head close to where your legs will rest, carbon fibre overlays will still be needed. This will kill two birds with one stone. The heat to your legs will be mitigated, and the ugly silver frame will be gone and now blend in nicely.

I'm with you! I'll order them as soon as they come out with them for sure!

That's odd. I've heard or read far more positive than negative things about it, outside of these forums anyway. And it did win "Most Beautiful Bike of Show" at EICMA, which was determined by fan voting. On top of that, almost everyone I know in real life who is into bikes thinks it's a looker, and I know a local motorcycle club here of which nearly every member has put a deposit on one.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I think it looks pretty damn good. Not perfect by any stretch, and I think the 1199/1299 still wins the trophy for most gorgeous superbike (I almost got a 1299 when it launched), but the V4 is far from kick-out-of-bed/garage status. Frankly, the negativity here has surprised me a little, but I respect all of your opinions nonetheless. Cheers

This one would look good with BST or Robo

those Magnesium look great...

for Carbon, i'd say these wheels:

The Beautiful Wheel - Carbon Fiber Wheels | BlackStone Tek

I'm gonna go with the BST rims instead if the magnesium option. I like the black stock aluminum but wanna try and lighten her up a bit.....
