Ducati V4 photoshop thread

Often what is not said is more important than what is said. I can honestly say I have read just about zero positive feedbacks on the looks dept.
There just isn't any of that "omg , it's so beautiful" going around.

Pitty that Duc missed the bullseye on this one.
Well for me at least.

Again, the BMW S1000RR has never been a looker, but it sells the most for one reason. Until recently, it was the cheapest cost per HP, and made all the other manufacturers look like fools, and they had been doing literbikes for YEARS!

True on the Bmw. But the brand Bmw sells well. Ducati is not a budget sport bike so won't sell on that account.
All I am saying is that the v4 could have been better looking. It's not bad, but it's not fantastic either in its plain red Paint. Kinda like the bm.
Just look at the 1299. Everyone thinks it's a supermodel. Doesn't need makeup.

Maybe in real life the plain v4 looks better ?
One thing is for sure, the paint job can make it a whole lot better. The speciale looks waaaay better than the std . In my humble opinion.

But you know what they say about opinions, haha.

The thing is, a lot of S1000RR buyers do consider it a looker, so it's not always a case of simply the spec sheet and hp/$ making it the top seller. Just check out BMW forums or chat up some owners at the local club for evidence of this. I personally know a few blokes who love it.

It's the same deal with the V4, and I dare say the Duc is a mite bit prettier in the overall package. Looks are always subjective after all, and based on what I've seen the ones that absolutely hate it are more of a vocal minority than the norm.

I think maybe some are just bored with red, lol. Agreed on the 1299, it just works for its gorgeous lines, but for most other bikes red is just ubiquitous and perhaps a touch uninspired. Wish there were a couple more official colours for the base and S V4. Maybe that's sacrilege for longtime Ducatisti but I'm fairly new to the brand, that's why I think this thread is absolute gold, though I don't see anything particularly wrong with keeping the V4 plain vanilla red for those that do like it. Just my preference. I see a red bike and I want to paint it black.

Most of them are bullshitting. I know they all say it's looks great but trust me, we all know it's not. Someone even made a sticker to make the Lights look symmetrical.

I used to own one and people complained about the lights on the forum all the time. They like it because it's the fastest.

As far as red is considered it's my favorite color for a motorcycle, but this bike might look better in others colors.

^^Hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion. I'm sure a few may be BSing an all, but I'm not gonna call them on it because I personally don't mind the BMW's looks either. My current bike is a ZX-10RR and a lot of folks don't care for its looks, but I actually like it, too. The beauty of bike ownership is we all have our personal taste/preference, and/or tolerance levels for our bikes', ahem, particular aesthetic quirks. :p

This is slightly off topic, but would someone mind photoshopping the new V4 Speciale mag wheels onto a 1299? Something tells me it will look sweet.

Here are some more quick ditry photoshops. I may change the rim colour if I have time.

Very elegantly sporty without excessive branding and true to style. Love it. Wheels as is or maybe gold.
This is my dream paint scheme. You nailed it. !!!

I hate red bikes and could never own one(at least i think) and like you am not a fan of the red v4 one bit but after seeing it in person this past weekend she 100% looks better in the real life. The tank im not so fond of but everything else looks beautiful. I cant wait to see this bike is some other colors(painted or even wrapped)
