IMO, the only solution worth investing in is a continually adjusting wide band system. Do that and not make it cost the same as the bike and I'm in.
 
Still enjoying my UpMap, but it really takes down the MPG rate. I've run through about 6-8 full tanks and the low fuel light comes on a lot sooner than with the stock map. I was accustomed for the low fuel light to come on about 100-110 miles. Now it seems to come on about 80-90 miles.

Noticed my mpg has gone down too. Definitely a thirsty bike with the new map.

Well... I need to reply to myself from April...

Lately, my MPG has dropped a little more. Yesterday on a ride with some friends, the fuel light came on at 70 miles. So, I got a wild idea and put the stock mapping back in today. (I was using the Arrow with DB killer map with my stock exhaust.) Took it for a spin for about 50 miles and it showed that I was getting 48MPG, and I noticed that the throttle response was easier for me! A lot easier. I can't remember MPG at that level

I'm new to the track. Only tracked for the last year, and all at COTA (two different bikes.) I'm Level 2 and still get big lessons every time I go out. I am very much into the learning part of this, rather than just letting her rip. It is just my nature. Anyway, I've done 8-10 track days with the mapping, and I've really been progressing well, but I've had a hard time with throttle control especially coming out of a turn. It's like I slow down too much past the apex and am timid on the throttle at the end.

I just realized on my little ride in the Texas Hill Country that the throttle had little forgiveness with the mapping, but with the stock map, I could relax my grip a LOT more through a corner. It was like I had my shoelaces way too tight! I realized that I must have been gripping the throttle way too tight to control my speed at the track. The UpMap map was either "go" or engine braking. It made sense for how well my corners were going on my little ride tonight, and what I've been struggling with at the track. I felt a lot better tonight on my ride.

There seemed to be a great difference in engine braking too. The stock map tonight felt light to medium and progressing. The UpMap map was much harder with engine braking. I tried all values. Downshifting with the stock map was not as good. There seems to be a slight surge, whereas I don't remember having that with the UpMap map. I'm sure there are other differences, too. This is just what I discovered (for me ) tonight.

I have 8000 miles on my V4S and about 6000 of them were with the UpMap. I wish that I had experienced the bike, and track, more with the stock mapping because at my level, I'm thinking about so many things at once that I need an easier and forgiving throttle. I imagine that advanced riders would want a shorter throw for the throttle to do what they need. I'll be back in August at COTA and can't wait to see how I do.
 
With the earlier Up-Map, it seems to disengage the ability to alter EBC, although Up-Map deny this. But, install the Up-Map, test the EBC settings and then repeat with the stock map, and there is a massive difference. They seem to have addressed it in later maps, and even mention it, but still expect you to fork out for their .... up.

This makes a lot of sense for what I was experiencing.
 
Search SLR on this forum. I have one of their devices and pretty happy. More power than Up-Map, good service, and he can also do quick action throttle through the mapping.

Just spoke to Frank @ SLR-Tuning. He recommends the 02 sensors stay plugged in on their flashes for the V4.
