Not bad...Dash looks like an attempt to emulate the 1199....Who makes the motor??KTM?? Braking looks suspect to me.... But all in all not a terrible bike imo..

Was at AIMExpo for the world unveiling.

Pretty impressive specs so far - First Photos and Specs: 2014 EBR 1190RX ? AimExpo 2013 | RideApart

185 hp
102 lb-ft torque
419 pounds curb weight
21 - mode TC

Bike looks much better in person, here are my pics from the booth:

LED Headlight is pretty trick

After 20+ bikes and 25 years riding with some racing thrown in, I was tickled pink with the 2009 Buell 1125R I owned. If this thing is any improvement, I swear it will be one of the best streetbikes ever, and maybe really good on track. If you read any reviews of the $40,000 1190RS they say the chassis and track handling is sublime. Not going to trade my 1199 any time soon, but honestly wish them well and will be very interested when the streetfighter version is introduced.

Saw them all here at show and sat on one. Count me out on this. Too chunky looking and old school pipe does nothing for me.
Blah.

Motor is an evolution of the 1125cc Rotax that was spec'd by EBR and built for the 2008 Buell 1125. EBR has a deal with Rotax. I owned one for 10K+ miles and it was flawless. There were some reported stator issues but I never experienced it. Rotax also OEM'ed motors for the Aprilia Mille V-twin and I put 26K miles on street and track on my 2001 Mille R, which proved to be the most reliable bike I have ever owned.

Braking should be completely sorted as the ZTL-system (Zero Torsional Load) has been fully developed on the track and the ram-air cooling ducts were proved to keep temps down in AMA racing conditions.

I'm a pretty big fan of EBR. I traded a XB12Scg for the Panigale.
I just think it's incredible how the style of the Panigale can make a bike like this EBR look old. The Pani is definitely a super model.

i agree i to owed an 1125r 2010 model which i won at NEC at Birmingham , had HMF can and KN with Buell racing ecu , fantastic machine give the Jap thous a run for they money , traded in with rr5 Blade for Pani:)

I'd buy one. The engineering is cool, and I love the fact that it's US-made and competitive in the AMA.

They're heading to WSBK as part of the EVO class so we'll see how it performs on the world stage in the next couple of years.
