Anyone had an ECU flash done on their bike, how much, and where can I get it done? My friend can apparently do ECU flashes but not sure if he can do a Panigale yet. I don't know much about the procedure. Just a little of what it does. My main concern is damage to the bike. If anyone can give me some information on this it would be greatly appreciated.

i would not do a "friend who can do it" reflash on this bike. there are way too many parameters involved. there is a thread on ducati.ms about this topic, let me see if i can find something.

different question: what for ? ;-)

Yeah I don't trust him either. But I may have a reflash done.

Some guys you know are great people in the workplace, but bad friends. Others are bad in the workplace, but great friends. He's option #2. I like the guy, we ride together, BS together, but idk if I trust his work by a couple bikes he has screwed up in the past. Therefore I would not trust him to flash my bike. Make sense? I am sure we all have people like this.

Copy that.

Contact Redline Motorsports in Virginia, they are a Ducati dealer and they are also Rexxer USA, they do all the ECU flashes for all dealers that offer the service.

Email [email protected] , he flashed our ECU on the 1199 and it ran way better down low and way way way better on top. No complains with it.

ok. Thanks for the info! You think it can still be improved on top of the upmap we just got in November (which I already have uploaded.) I will get in touch with them. Also, can you PM me your name so I can refer you?

Was just about to PM you with this info man. I have known Dave Lillard for many years and purchase my bikes from him since he owns and runs the best Ducati Dealership in Virginia (and for the record voted #1 by Ducati as well!) so before you buy, contact them on any other deal you find! :D

As Shift Tech stated, Dave does ECU flash for hundreds of people, including dealerships, across the country and has this down better than anyone I've seen. Yes they have the 1199 updated flash, and he is capable of doing a number of things there while tuning it on the Dyno. Dont let any "friends" start poking around on your "brain" with their Craftsman tools and Macbook. Let someone who has done thousands of these handle the most important part of your bike!

Not sure what email Shift Tech listed here but that's not his as far as I know?
Tell him I sent you when calling or emailing Dave. It should carry some weight. No one else touches my bike when it comes to service! :D

hmmm

It is his email:) if you have any question about ECU tuning.

David is REXXER USA

Never had reason to use that address. He must use that for all ECU issues. I know him and his wife for many years personally, not just business, so I use his cell or home contact info. I have sold many, many bikes for him for people who know better than to use other Virginia dealers. Of course he takes a beating from them since he doesnt pull shady deals, BS people, or worst of all MF you and talk behind your back while smiling to your face.

Rexxer it is than.

Has he flashed your's Gunny?

Yes he has flashed mine.

What is your impression on performance improvements? Any dyno results etc? I ask because I know some models (R1's, Zx-10, CBR1000RR) have major improvements when flashed due to US restrictions which are eliminated. Ducati says there aren't any such restrictions on US bikes so I'm curious how much this bike is improved. Not trying to harass you my friend:D

The Rexxer reflash sounds very interesting. i'd love to hear from anyone who's done it and get their impressions, such as whether this raises any warranty issues, and whether they had to do anything else to the bike to support the reflash. Also, what happens if you later put a Termi kit on and install its upmap, does it wipe out the reflash or are they two different issues altogether?

Call Dave

These are all questions you can ask Dave directly man. Very good guy and extremely knowledgable. Again, tell him I sent you and told you to ask a million questions.

I have not rode my bike since it was done. Plus, had larger rear sprocket put on while it was there too so not sure what improved what when I do ride it.
