I think that if you like to commute to work on a motorbike and generally like to get around on a motorbike, then an electric bike would be a great thing to use. If you're talking about the enthusiast motorcycling experience - the sounds, smells, feels, etc. that you get on a day ripping through canyons - then an electric bike is no alternative to that.
