Got some issues, possibly electrical?

-Right indicator doesn't work when engine has warmed up
-Won't display Neutral when engine warmed up

Taken to dealer who said the neutral switch needs replacing so they've ordered the required part from Ducati and will be done under warranty, they'll look at the indicator at the same time, so happy with this...oh and foggy dash which is also being ordered.

However, I have taken the bike out again today and noticed some more problems when engine hot:

- pull away in 1st gear, change to 2nd and now displays 'Neutral', it then felt very jerky and snatchy, almost like it is about to run out of fuel except worse, feels dangerous, then when I go to 3rd it says 2nd. Hmm whats happening?

-now I can't change riding modes using the grey indicator cancel switch, which also means I can't cancel the left indicator. When I stopped the bike and it cooled slightly for a few minutes I tried the grey indicator switch and was fully functional, hmmm?

Just wandering if others here are having similar experiences? Might help if I can tell the dealer that as well or how others rectified the problem.

Thanks in advance,
Pangaleman.

Might be TSB - 881, wiring harness addition... You can search for it on here and it will explain in more detail...

Yeah as mentioned above the left hand switch wiring harness, is a recall, and can be replaced free of charge in about 1/2 hour, I just had mine done a couple of weeks ago....not sure about your foggy dash though? You don't store the bike outside do you?

I had the faulty switch issue handled under warranty as well as it crept up on me this season after no issues last season.

I had a foggy dash happen, but the dealer couldn't replicate the issue and refused my pictures as proof. They denied that claim saying that it is normal and as long as I don't keep the bike outside in cold it will be fine... In my opinion, that is an unacceptable answer.

But what do I know?

You're quite correct.
My dealer will accept a picture if I submit it to him in order to verify a legitimate warranty claim.

I'm on my third dash now(which is the MK V version).
The dash still fogs up under the right climatic conditions, and the bike is kept in a garage out of the weather.

The fogging clears in a very short time, so now I just accept it as being a feature of the model.
My dealer is aware of it as an ongoing issue.

So far it, has not caused any loss of functionality on the bike.

Hi thanks for your replies,

I keep the bike in a garage.
Dealer said they will do the foggy dash under warranty.
Gave the dealers a call to let them know about the 'registering Neutral when in 2nd' and being jerky and snatchy, they explained that because the faulty sensor is registering both neutral and in gear.
They weren't aware of the left/grey indicator cancel switch issue but said they would take a look. (I can now inform them that this is actually a recall issue thanks to you guys).
