Hi, I have a 2014 1199S it has about 2200 miles I bought it brand new few months ago, I only ride it mostly once a week commuting, my issue is that around 4500k to about 5300k rpm I get the feel of hesitation of the engine and it feels like the bike want to stall, it only happens around this range, I even try the race mode same issue, I took it to Berts to have them look at it and the technician took it out for a ride and they do feel the hesitation and told me there is no software upgrade on the ECU and it is not throwing out any error code and told me its normal and I just need to ride it out, It did not happen until recently. Anyone have this issue, I tried to search the forum I couldn't find anything.

Try a different dealer for a second opinion. Maybe Westlake Ducati since I think you meant Burt's in LA area. Something happened!

I am trying to stay local since its hard to go out there and have someone pick me up while I leave the bike there, closer location would be Pro-Italia or Southern California Ducati at Brea. I havent been to these 2 location and not sure how their services are.

I've read so may issues on this forum about this from faulty quick shifters, traction control settings, EBC settings, getting the F/A remapped, ethnol gas, not getting the proper octane, clutch, etc. I had the same problem and Ducati tried a lot of different things on my bike. I'm not saying this will solve your problem but it has helped mine. The night before I was to take my bike in for a complete engine tear down so they can solve the problem. i decided to check the front and rear speed sensors because it felt like TC was kicking in (the hesitation).

I've found that the rear Speed Sensor gets just enough carbon exhaust built up and disrupts reading the ring. Every-time I get that hesitation I clean the rear speed senor and the problem goes away. Im not sure if I have a faulty or weak sensor but I try to clean it every time i wipe my bike down. it only take a couple of mins and a 8mm socket to wipe it down and put it back on. A few other guys that I ride with has the same issue and they do the same thing.

Scrapper makes a valid point....But I have found that the issues with the rear wheel sensor tend to show up more at just off idle speeds....I had this issue once...but its certainly a possibility Imo...

Thank you Scrapper, I will need to find the rear sensor and clean it and hopefully it will resolve my issue, never done it before even on my Honda.
