Hi all,

Does anyone have any feedback on these ? Did it effect the "heat" subject with any significance ?

Appreciate any feedback....

I have close mesh guards on mine top and bottom - no noticeable difference...

I've fitted both guards, very easy to install, takes 5 minutes. Quality/fit is excellent and they are surprisingly light.

Haven't ridden enough for a definitive answer on the temperature but first impressions are that they make little difference. I managed to get 3 large dents in my upper radiator and I'd say some protection is required - these fit the bill nicely.

Thanks for the feedback.... mine are on order from the UK.... in Germany they are sold out currently with some long lead times......

Do let me know if you notice the coolant running warmer......

Thanks again !!

Not sure where in the USA however this is where I got mine in the UK:

Ducati Panigale 1199 Radiator Guard | Ducati Motorcycle Parts | Evotech Performance

No marketing intended from my side just a tip and read up if you like......

I have fitted the upper one yesterday.

I didn't ride yet with it (will do today), but with the lower one, I did and am quite happy with it.

The installation is easy while a bit tricky with the upper one if you don't have a front stand on your bike, since there's isn't much room. But it fits very well, looks stock enough to be forgotten, and overall, the product looks like they really have thought about it.

Moreover, should you want to take it off, it's a easy as the installation, and won't leave a trace. No one would ever know you had the protections.

I recommend these.

Hi Braintrash,

Thanks for the info, I appreciate the feedback...... let me know if you do get to ride...weather hopefully improving over the week end and next week..... and if you do notice a difference in the running temp.

Have a good riding week end !!

Done, and no difference, everything is OK.
The Panigale handles the hotness better than the Diavel.

Upper and lower done in 5 min. No heat issues at all. Got mine from the UK. Arrived from the other side of the world in 5 days!! Too much road works going on around here at the moment and a stone through the radiator (ducati ride assist or not) would be just a pain in the arse. Cheap insurance in my opinion.

Cox Racing Group

I must agree to disagree and give a serious plug out for Andrew Cox and the Cox Racing Group for making the best set of radiator guards out there! I have never been so impressed with his customer service and personal communication to my emails and questions. Cannot wait until I get my new set of Gold guards to augment the gold Ohlins and gold CRG levers!

Thanks Andrew!!

Are these more involved to install?

To be honest with you I have no idea bro. He has several videos on mounting on his website and You Tube as well. Cant compare them to Evo until I get it here, but they seem to be selling like hotcakes and a big slab of butter! :D

You got the COX? Nice, I have those on my other bikes. Please let me know what you think.

Not too bad, I'm pretty damn good with a Dremmel.

My opinion - if you're doing it yourself, might be worth it. If you're paying someone to install it - might not be worth it. Here is the cost benefit analysis -
CR radiator guard is like $200 I think. It's a solid 2 or 3 hours to get it installed. That takes you to $500. If you're doing it yourself - $200. It protects the fins of the radiator, but apparently the radiator is mostly damaged from the other side cracking. So, yes it'll protect it from front debris, but whats the cost of the radiator repair that you're protecting from ??? So, not sure its worth a $500 investment if you catch my drift.

I never pay for people to work on my bikes, it's insulting and should be lol. What do you mean the other side? As in during a fall, the side?

No, as in the damage to radiators that need replacement seems to be the internals cracking from the inside vs external debris damaging the fins and damaging the radiator from the outside.

Hmm, weird. I did use metal screening on my Motard for a guard. I could just do that, cost me $5.
