I agree seems crazy but check our dyno results.

Aprilia did the same thing on the rsv4.

Both manufacturers keep releasing revisions! Does that tell you anything.

It tells me to ride the bike, and never dyno it! :) After doing tons of mods, I dyno-tuned my 911 once, saved the chart, and never want to see another because I am sure it has/will change with each run, and will piss me off if lower  Dynos or good to see how a mod changed HP for that bike, on that day, and that's it.

you can easily search and find that base maps dyno lower then stock it happens alot even on tuners pcm, bazzaz, they come with maps for full systems or slip ons air filters. but often it ran better stock. Because they have to do the same thing ducati and termi have to make the map run on all different gas grades and all over the world and for every bike. you can take 10 stock bike with the exact same miles and everything and put them on the same dyno and they will all read different some pretty drastic.
saying one map is optimal for every 1199 with termi's full or slip on is just not realistic with the different gas grades in some areas to how the bike was broken in there are so many factors. dyno's are excellent tuning tools not just "good to see how a mod changed HP for that bike, on that day, and that's it." and it would be hp on that specific dyno as they all read different.

A custom tune..car or bike is always the best route. However, I'm calling BS on the generic or canned tunes creating less hp. I've ran multiple SRT8's with the Diablo Predator canned tunes and the improvement was quite paramount. Ran a Mopar stage 1 ECU on an SRT4 Caliber and the improvement was dramatic. Room for improvement on a generic tune is obvious, but making less hp than stock..just have to chalk me up to the non believers. I don't believe DP or Termignoni would waste time and resources to make less power..it makes no sense. As far as revisions go..revisions are improvements and to me that is development...doesn't mean they are making less hp than the factory settings.I'm glad there are revisions..that means they are developing and or making strides. I guess some dyno's are supposedly saying otherwise (still not sold)but I know my bike runs better and crisper with the Termi set up and download. If my bike runs better on the street, then mission accomplished for me. Living in the dyno world is good for a tool and tweaking...but more often than not leaves you smashin your head against the wall in confusion instead of more time riding!

Amen!

This argument reminds me of Ferrarii vs Koenigsegg or McLaren P1. The latter two are ultra-limited production, hi-tech, bespoke cars that are faster and make the Ferrari look mass produced even though they are still and incredibly beautiful, fast and advanced cars. Ferrari has to then bring out its own very limited edition models just to keep pace.

Termi is mass produced compared to AR (as is Akra) regardless of the heritage. Termi's amazing experience and technology has allowed them to create a product that can be mass produced and also have great performance (that's a great business). This also means we have no direct customer support - no access to the people behind the brand to support the purchase (its all done through ducati dealers or online stores)

AR systems are essentially bespoke race systems, made of amazing materials like Inconel which provides the amazing weight savings and great performance gains when tuned. They clearly have a lot of experience in this space and if you are looking for the ultimate performance (sound is subjective) then they offer a great package, which appears to better all the others. The fact that they manage to produce and sell their system for less than Termi or Akra is phenomenal, a steal!

Both AR and Termi need tuning to get the best result, no surprise there but its comparing apples with oranges IMHO. Aesthetically it's a very subjective choice.

I've yet to see a dyno chart of a tuned Termi full system that outperforms the AR - someone feel free to post one that makes 190+hp.

Thank you all for your valuable input. I think I have made up my mind. I'll wait about a month and then start my upgrades. Great forum and glad there is so much experience on this forum.

Thanks again!
