Need some extended warranty recommendations for the V2. I’ve heard some horror stories with Ducati’s ex. warranty and would like to purchase else where.

I had western for 5 years. 7 total years of coverage including the factory 2 years. Cost me $600. Got more than $600 worth of warranty work before it expired and never had a single issue with them. This was offered through the dealer at the time of purchase back in April 2013 for my 1199. I think the price was $1200 originally. I ended up getting the same coverage for my dragster back in may 2017. Same price.

Wow, you would think the best warranty option would be through Ducati. It would be very disappointing if a Ducati didn’t stand behind their own product. What issues have you heard about?

@youpaiyou that's what the dealer told me for ever red but I saw this on their website (below in bold/underlined) . Maybe this is just for EU and not US? So confusing, a lot of pros and cons and I do not want to go down the rabbit hole about it being worth it. I enjoy piece of mind but do not want to get screwed over and be denied a claim..

Ever Red is the warranty extension allowing to extend the coverage period by 12, 24 or 36 months in addition to the 2 years already provided by the Ducati Warranty.

You may decide to buy it starting from the second month after purchasing your motorcycle up until the end of the Ducati Warranty (2 years); it is provided by CarGarantie Vesicherungs-AG, a leader in Europe for almost 50 years.

Ever Red has no mileage limit and at its expiry may be extended further by purchasing Ever Red Plus 12. Moreover, it is linked to the vehicle and not its owner. If ownership changes then the remaining warranty coverage is maintained until the end of the selected period.
