If you want extended warranty and have already purchased ur bike I have the best connection:
215-639-3100
ask for William only
800.00 5 year full coverage warranty unlimited miles 50.00 deductable
1000.00 6 years full coverage warranty unlimited miles 50.00 deductable
Mention my name " Vince Brown" and get 0 deductable for free. towing included and roadside assistance. Warranty company is the most reputable warranty company I know. Zurich. Same company we use for our corporate ins. You can use Ducati dealer or your local dealer as long as liscenced.

Sounds pretty good. Someone please remind us again what we all get from the factory, I think it's 2 year unlimited. Does the 5 year start from the day you buy it or after the original warranty runs out?

I've never in my life had to use an extended warranty after I bought a couple of them so I quit buying them (and still didn't wish I had it) but for this bike, I think I might be interested. Thanks for the info.

Yes 2 years, and it begins from your factory in service date which is the date you purchased. I didnt buy one on my 1098 and regretted it all the way til the 1198. bought on 1198 and used it twice! This bike is so unique I am sure parts for replacement will remain extremely high based on supply.

Bought mine for $1500 for a 3 year (after factory warranty expired) since I have 26 claims so far that is a no brainer! Wished I would have seen this earlier to get a discount, but still worth every penny

How easy are they to work claims with? Do they try to question maintenance, accidents, or track days etc. To try to get out of honoring the warranty? Assuming of course that the issue could not reasonably affect the claim.

This.

I'm going to go scour the internet for reviews.

Sounds like an interesting option. Much, much less than the 3 year extended warranty that I researched through EverRed, which to my understanding is the closest to a factory extended warranty. However the question about ease of claims process is definitely the main concern here.

My warranty claims for the bike in 1.5 years and 10,000 miles would have totalled over $2,000 so to me an extended warranty is a no-brainer on my 2012.

Ditto !!

JeffD-

This is what I learned as well (which could be wrong and open for debate) but David Lillard from Redline explained to me that Ever Red is as close as one can get to the factory warranty and he can take care of anyone interested in this by contacting him at Redline (or Rexxer) and being sure to mention that Gunny Fitz sent you for the extended warranty from him!

As stated, I could be wrong but if Jeff D is saying the same thing I has to have some validity to it since we know Jeff is spot on right? :D

Major bump. Is this company any good i was going to buy ever red 3 year warranty ( he said around 1300) . Is this company just as good?

EverRed is now underwritten by JM&A. The main company that underwrites the extended portions for Audi/VW (you had to see that coming). The main problem with the new EverRed from JM&A is they that they used their car pricing as a guideline for the motorcycle industry. Its too expensive.

Many dealerships work with a 3rd party companies that can be less of a hit to the wallet and just as effective and what is available as the 'branded' warranty (like what the OP mentioned). Its best to speak with the dealer for these options and to see whats best for you.

I use a company called RPMOne. The coverage is just as effective as EverRed with the same benefits (including roadside) but I can go anywhere without the need to pay a deductible if not going back to the selling dealership. Pricing is about half of what the EverRed product is.

At the end of the day EverRed is the branded Ducati extended warranty. But it is underwritten by a third party making it no different than any other third party warranty.

Bern, have you had any claims history with RPMOne? I understand they've been in the powersports industry for a while so it stands to reason they should be experienced in this field and hopefully easy to deal with.

Great explanation Brother. :)

Yes... The fuel line on the pump in the Paul Smart came loose. RPMOne paid for everything (parts/labor) and $0 deductible. I know that sounds small but when its broken down (the diagnosis, removal of the tank, removal of the pump, parts, then reassembly for both) things start to add up.

Since the PS is old I can only do 2 years at a time for keeping it under warranty. Since its not used that much now I may let it slip. I added 4 years to the 1199 since I plan to have that for a while also.
