Was asked by some fellow V4 riders if my rear Öhlins oil reservoar got very hot. I did not think to check earlier, and holy cow it was almost boiling hot!
What is this about?? Function was no problem, but I can think it would be even better without the heat generated in the oil.
Some guy told that the TTX is like that, and needs to be rebuild to get rid of the aluminium internals.
Totally standard V4S, but was the same on a SP as well.
Have any of you guys any experience?

Could consider developing and 3D printing a scoop and duct to funnel air to it. But would you notice a difference? Prob not

Race shocks are designed to work when hot.

Don't try and fix .... that's not broke.

NASA needs to get hold of Ooooo-leens as they seem to have developed shocks that can to operate on the surface of the Sun.

Dont worry Rick, I’ve contracted out the design to Andyb and asked him to take into consideration a stack of washer into the design. I’m also going to have RaceSeat.it fabricate it so that it won’t fi the bike it was specified for.
