Well, we (the US) installed a pro-west puppet regime which Russia took offense to. Had we not been meddling they wouldn't be at war now. We are burying Ukraine in lend/lease debt with a proxy war so eh. All willing parties to fuckery. I don't get why were wasting billions of dollars over there other than to keep the machine fed. Imagine if those resources would go to, because it's mentioned in this thread, homeless in California. That's another can of worms, since those groups which are paid to help the homeless mostly give them tents. So there's that.
Saying that we installed a pro-West puppet regime sounds like Ruzzian propo. You watch too much RT. Where do you have proof of said claims?

I wouldn’t say it‘s a waste of money supporting Ukraine against Ruzzia’s illegal and illegitimate war. In fact, military support will create even more jobs here in the US and later on during rebuilding. The cost will never be seen by a taxpayer (see modern monetary theory). Ukraine will be one of the most modern countries after this conflict is over and Ruzzia will hopefully fail as a country having to pay reparations to rebuild the country it bombed and devastated. I, for one, look forward to visiting Ukraine once this is over and shelling out my hard-earned US dollars over there. They’ll be a great strategic partner to NATO and the EU with the vast resources they can contribute to the world.

All the conservatives complain of homelessness, what actual policies do they have to combat it? The modern GOP is about culture wars and shoving ultra-conservative WASP-y values down the throats of Americans. .... that ..... At least as a progressive, dare I say woke liberal, they actually contribute to the betterment of society. I don’t mind paying my share to the government if taxes increase if America improves. I’d love to see healthcare not attached to employment.

Actually to that last bit the Supreme Court ruled in a landmark decision that Corporations are like individuals with free speech, and thus the SuperPack was born.
I'd have to read that decision to comment on it. Case law at this point in history is incredibly nuanced and likely isn't a very broad decision in its application.

But, I believe the leverage of Constitutional Rights is to be prioritized on the individual first, before a group, a company, etc. Most importantly, this is to balance the leverage of power the government can bring. The government can bring an exponential amount of resources than someone even as well off as yourself can defend. That is the priority, not a company benefiting from tax abatements.
One well funded regulatory body regulating pollution, the same for commercial crimes. The problem isn’t regulation, it’s ten agencies digging into your pockets enforcing the same regulations.
The problem there is that I don't think there would be a shift in budgets but in alphabet letters.
To be clear the ones leaving our states are the ones who can’t or don’t want to keep up with the upward mobility
Like Tesla?

It's ....... hilarious that you posted that Colbert meme but later wrote this. Watch Gideon Rose on The Colbert Report.

FWIW, I like everyone here, I write this with the most positive energy I can and only seek dialogue. Ride fast, take chances. :p

Regurgitated like a good little npc without even a hint of critical thought.

Interesting that a guy who can’t install a seat would consider his opinion on the complexities of international geopolitics important enough for others to consider.

For anyone who’s ever contemplated the Dunning-Kruger effect, see quoted content above.

I hear a lot of ........ slagging and no concrete argument against my opinion. I’ve yet to see your grasp of “international geopolitics.” Currently, I’m seeing nothing in regards to this.

FWIW, I did manage to install that ..... stain of a seat as evidence by

I just had to fix their mistakes with good ol fashion American hard work and ingenuity.

So SuperD 2. Craig 0. Give me your pink slip.

I agree!

My only political input coming from the outside perspective of an Australian is that there isn't a westernized government body on any side that isn't driven already by power and greed. So called world organizations like WHO and WEF (don't get me started on Klaus Schwab) combined with the likes of big pharma spell nothing but trouble and governments are the pawns to the organizations that fund them. Just the same as media is down the line. All these ........ distractions like gender identity and the like are taking our eyes away from what's really happening. Yes I'm deep down the hole already lol.

Yep, all designed to keep people on the hamster wheel and stay good consumers, especially to be good consumers of information.

It’s one of the paradoxes of our times that the world has evolved to the point where nearly all information on human existence is available for free at our fingertips, but algorithms turn information into the most monetized resource we have, where people are spoon fed narrow silos of information based on what an algorithm identifies that will allow you to be monetized most efficiently…i.e. what narrow window of information will keep you lining up to the trough to buy what you can get for free.

In a way, we’ve figured out how to monetize free information in a way that’s not unlike successfully getting Eskimo’s to buy ice…and they’ve done so by dying some ice red and some ice blue, dividing the Eskimos into two groups, and convincing some Eskimos that only blue ice is safe and red ice will kill you and your children, while convincing the other Eskimos that only red ice is safe and blue ice will kill them and their children. The ice salesman are making a killing convincing people that only their ice is safe, ignore the 1000 square miles of pristine un-dyed ice all around you, and for God’s sake don’t talk to or listen to the salesman of that other colored ice!

See how toxic leads to toxic? Pinky to politics 😂😂😂

Pinky is the lessor of those two evils, I miss pinky haha

I go riding for a day and what do you guys do? Chase off the mascot squid. Shame on you. Poor guy just wanted to show off his bike. BTW I'm a native Californian. From the Bay Area. Great place to live before Hughes (that where the core of silicon valley came from). Then it was a great place to make money. Then it became too expensive to manufacture there now so it's all BS software stuff. When I left the max tax rate in CA was 11.3 above a million. Someone told me recently it was now 14.4 above 500k. Can that be true? Ouch. Now since 1/3 of the houses in CA burnt down they're coming here in droves.
