Sometimes two things can be true at the same
time. Leftist policies tend to politicize the law, so criminality in those likely to support the state (like vagrants in SF or murderers in the BLM riots) go unprosecuted, while enemies of the state (like the q-anon shaman) are persecuted to the maximum allowable limit for relatively minor offenses.

Leftist policies are historically authoritarian in that they remove choice and reduce individual liberty in pursuit of the greater (collective) good.

Has it become easier or harder to open a business in California under one party (leftist) authority?

Did you have more freedom regarding your choice of healthcare insurance before or after Obama care?

How much of the income that was take from you in taxes and redistributed to the banks after the 2008 collapse has been returned to you since the recovery?

No these are good points. Now I'm just pissed off. 🤣
I just saw a documentary on the hacktivist group Anonymous and Wikileaks founder getting pinned for terrorism for uncovering information and enabling communication.

And yet places like China and Japan have almost zero homelessness, largely because the family unit structure is more intact, so if someone in your family has drug or mental health issues the family sorts it.

It almost as if the people running the show in the west want to break the family...cue LGBT non binary non religious non community everyone mistrusting one another fake news shitholes

Do you really think it has anything to do with democracy? LOL

Only someone naive would think it’s all about democracy. For Ukrainians, I’d say it’s more about protecting one’s sovereignty. For those sneaky ....... Ruzzians, it’s about getting duped.

What’s your take, b(ladomir)p(utin)? Hunter Biden’s laptop?

How do you feel about Desantos though?

A Republican using the authority of the state to squash the 1st amendment rights of a private business?

Is that a freedom loving pro business policy?

Also California didn’t bail out banks, the Feds did, the FEDERAL tax dollars that the Feds collected from our high income state subsidized it though, just like those same dollars subsidize all the welfare programs in poor red states.

I do.

If I insult everyone on the forum will you pay for my track days?

And tires?

.... gets expensive!

😂😂😂

Yes if you hang out with me and make me feel like one of the cool guys I’ll pay your track fee, tires you’re on your own lol….... gets expensive, ZO4 pads too lol

Well, we (the US) installed a pro-west puppet regime which Russia took offense to. Had we not been meddling they wouldn't be at war now. We are burying Ukraine in lend/lease debt with a proxy war so eh. All willing parties to fuckery. I don't get why were wasting billions of dollars over there other than to keep the machine fed. Imagine if those resources would go to, because it's mentioned in this thread, homeless in California. That's another can of worms, since those groups which are paid to help the homeless mostly give them tents. So there's that.

The only thing surprising about the laptop is that people are surprised by it. The kid of a seasoned politician gets installed in an energy consultant job which he isn't qualified for in one of the most corrupt governments in the world only to do crack and hookers and sell .... paintings for six figures. Of course that .... happened. Of course news of it was suppressed. Of course someone with no criminal history who is the son of same seasoned politician is given a softball deal on a gun charge. This is all .... that makes sense. I'm shocked but I'm not surprised.

Walt Disney Co isn't a private business. It's a publicly traded company which sucked on the ... of the taxpayers and took woke stands which didn't reflect the views of those taxpayers in the eyes of their democratically elected official.

I'm not to sure a business has a Constitutionally protected right of free speech the way an individual does. I guess that's another discussion though.

Without context, a patent count isn’t very useful. A lot of things which are patented never become anything.

If you want to Google 50 states ranked 2023, California is 33. That’s probably a more meaningful result than patent count.

Did you type that on your personal computer or iphone or while driving your electric car? Did you google the top 50 state ranking? All of the above came from California.

California continues to have an outsized impact on the modern world.

I'm not saying all of the industries and people located in California didn't have an impact, I merely say those same people and industries if located in say, Utah, would have likely had the exact same impact. The zip code matters less than the people and more to a point the grouping of people and resources.

There is a reason those people aren't in ....... Utah. Come on dude, you are too smart to be taking this line of argument. Vibrant ecosystems and centers of learning and melting pots of culture aren't created by accident in bible thumping (or some other religion obsessed) backwards ass redneck states.

Every state and city has downsides, California has many. Its just become fashionable to bash California while benefitting from it everyday.

I picked Utah out of my ass to be fair. The point was that the people, and their contributions throughout history, are more important than the geography and state boundaries. I'm not purposefully trying to .... all over Cali, please don't take it that way. But, I recognize the ebb and flow of status collectively it isn't pegged to the best of times, right now.

I will give you push back on your melting pot statement. Cities is the US are very segregated. It's more akin to a lunch tray with dividers than a melting pot.

Actually to that last bit the Supreme Court ruled in a landmark decision that Corporations are like individuals with free speech, and thus the SuperPack was born.

The entire purpose of free speech is to be able to object to government, when said government then uses the levers of government to silence free speech and if they get away with it we stop being America

Since when do patriotic Americans suddenly think it’s okay for a governmental agency to silence free speech?

With all due respect there, most of the rest of the post is your opinions shaped by propoganda.

Saying that we installed a pro-West puppet regime sounds like Ruzzian propo. You watch too much RT. Where do you have proof of said claims?

I wouldn’t say it‘s a waste of money supporting Ukraine against Ruzzia’s illegal and illegitimate war. In fact, military support will create even more jobs here in the US and later on during rebuilding. The cost will never be seen by a taxpayer (see modern monetary theory). Ukraine will be one of the most modern countries after this conflict is over and Ruzzia will hopefully fail as a country having to pay reparations to rebuild the country it bombed and devastated. I, for one, look forward to visiting Ukraine once this is over and shelling out my hard-earned US dollars over there. They’ll be a great strategic partner to NATO and the EU with the vast resources they can contribute to the world.

All the conservatives complain of homelessness, what actual policies do they have to combat it? The modern GOP is about culture wars and shoving ultra-conservative WASP-y values down the throats of Americans. .... that ..... At least as a progressive, dare I say woke liberal, they actually contribute to the betterment of society. I don’t mind paying my share to the government if taxes increase if America improves. I’d love to see healthcare not attached to employment.
