That is great news TR....bet you are feeling good now :D

I have only been out once in 6 weeks due to Adele and sad to say it Bieber concert commitments, but all good now, just have to wait till the roads clean up after a cyclone aftermath or things could get scary :D

Having to attend a Bieber concert ???!!!! My deepest condolences. Please dump him in the most remote part of the outback, thanks.

It was great having a little break in the weather and hopefully more to come soon. Nothing but rain in this weekends forecast but I'll be installing the new rearsets Sunday so that's ok.

Haha...Would have loved to. The Coldplay and Adele ones made up for him, so 2 out of 3 aint bad.

Cant wait to see the rearsets on as the bike is looking nice !! one question have you had any problems with the Number plate hitting ?? i put mine there with plate tilted forward, but had to run in race suspension so it didnt hit, not good on bumpy roads....but my lights I used were faulty so had to take them off again.

No problems with it hitting. It's almost vertical with the bottom just slightly forward. On the streets I've just been using the standard sport dynamic setting. I'm 170 lbs in my birthday suit and 195 lbs geared up.

New Rearsets

Finally added rearsets. My criteria for choosing were folding foot pegs and toe pegs. Also the ability to switch to GP shift strictly from the rearsets. Of course a higher foot position that works for me. A bonus is being able to pin the foot pegs into a fixed position.

The two I narrowed down to were the DP and CNC. Love the works look of the DP but CNC had the advantage of being more reasonably priced and bearings versus bushings. Either choice I preferred the aluminum and black combo. I was planning on waiting for the Attack kits to be available this summer to look at until HeronB offered up a new set of DP's for sale. For the price of one new kit, I was able to pick up his new kit and a used kit off a friends bike for spares. My dealer is also able to order parts for this kit so I went with the DP's.

I spent a few hours in the garage last night installing these. I took my time taking everything apart and applying loctite where needed and getting control positions as good as I could in a static setup. I set this up in the GP pattern so it's now the same as my other bike. Now the instructions say to use the lower hole for a shorter shift which I followed but I keep thinking that the shift would be shorter using the upper hole as it's further from the pivot point giving more leverage and movement to the shift rod. I'll have to try this in the future. That wouldn't be the first thing wrong on the DP instruction sheet. The instructions also say to use the short 93mm shift rod for the high GP pattern. Nope, use the longer 103mm rod. I also set the foot peg on the higher of the two positions. This fit my 5'7" 30" inseam perfectly with the DP race seat. The lower position would be best with the stock seat height for me.

I took her out for another short ride to get a feel and figure out what changes I might want to make. Those short foot pegs felt perfect for me. Not too short at all. Very grippy with my new Sidi Mag 1's. My brake pedal height is pretty damn close to perfect. I'll have to do some track time before I decide whether to adjust it or not. The shifter felt great stomping down for the up shift. In fact the position would be perfect if my left talus hadn't been crushed years ago limiting the upward movement. This caused missed shifts from 2-1 every now and then as my foot doesn't like to lift to well. I adjusted the shifter down a half turn on the shift rod when I got back home. If that doesn't do it another half turn should.

So far I'm very happy with the setup and only track time will give me more insight on this kit.

Looking pretty through the glass as she waits for me to finish lunch.
