First to second hesitation

When accelerating, with the front wheel a bit off the ground, my bike hesitates before resuming, after shifting into second. Today it was about 2 feet up and slammed down pretty good. I ride in 195lo with DTC at 5 and have the DQS turned off for reverse shifting, and don't clutch in this situation. It's a non-ABS base.
So I chop the throttle to shift. This doesn't happen in a full wheelie. Has anyone else experienced this?

Try setting EBC to 3. Sounds like you're just getting a lot of engine braking. Not sure why it doesn't happen in a full wheelie, though.

No other thoughts? I'll change the EBC and see what it does, but didn't think of the EBC since it's during acceleration.

Thanks Mundman. I also read ddd269's report and set the DTC to 3, which almost completely eliminated the issue.

DTC on 3 will allow you to play, with even sharp flick of the wrist.

On another note, why do you disable the QS feature just because you are GP shifting?

Just curious because I also GP shift, but with the QS on...

EDIT:~ unless you juat flipped the link with the stock quick shifter so the QS feature wouldn't work anyway :)...am I right?

Yeah I had the tech flip the shifter when I got it, so I didn't have to think about shifting. Haven't gotten the reverse QS yet...

Throttle reaction in 195lo is quite slow - so if you chop the throttle for the shift - try using 195hi instead.
