Same, IMO Akra are probably focussing on supplying dealers for the 1299 and the rest of us will have to wait.

Do yourself a favor- file a chargeback and take your money to someone reputable. Hell- even moto mummy replies to emails.

They cancelled my order within 5 minutes saying my credit card isn't secure.

They're a joke.

Besides- their price has gone up over $500+ the past month. Not worth the frustration.

I have 7 Visa cards none of which are "verified" eligible so the guy told me he doesn't want my business. I'll gladly give my money to Duc Omaha.

We have both slip-ons and full systems in stock, so not sure what they're talking about with Akra being behind schedule?

Found some time to start installing this full Ti evo Akra system....

And I could slap myself: why didn't I buy two sets :(
I put the one received from CarpiMoto on my Tri and realised that it is just a phantastic exhaust. Fittment is simply perfect, I just had to stick it together and everything fitted within 1/2 of a mm. Terminogni is simply .... compared to Akrapovic.

And this version of the system is for sure lighter than the one on the SL. I have to try to get another one for the SL for a good price. The whole system is hold together with springs, no silly clamps. Header pipes are simply neglectable in weight compared to the SL.

The only (very minor) thing I don't like: The mounting screws (M8) delivered with the system would work well, but 1st they are a bit too long and 2nd not all of them are Inox. I replaced them, but it's not really necessary.

@ b9009b: many thanks for this thread! It helped me to save 1500 USD here in Switzerland.

How difficult was the install for the full system? Did you have to remove the rear wheel or radiator?

As Brad51 said, it's pretty much straight forward if you already know how to remove the fairing. Because I did some other stuff together with the exhaust installation, I removed the rear sets, fan and servo motor as well. All easy stuff to do. It makes life a little bit easier if you also remove the rear wheel, only one nut.

BTW: I polished the pipes before installation. I think the Titanium colors look a bit stronger then.

Sweet bike. Which wheels are those?

Hey Gecko!

That looks really sharp brother!

I need a new exhaust like another IED blast! Wouldn't mind a slip on for the hell of it. Without reading EVERYTHING all over again and trying to figure it all out. Can someone please tell me what is the damage on a set of slip ons for the 1199 series?

Glad to see all you guys so motivated and all. Im barely on here anymore these days.

Thanks in advance my fellow members!

PS- Anyone think they can guess where my Avatar photo was taken? Will send you a few stickers if you can guess where that is! :)

Gunny - I have one coming in I paid 1999 for, it's the new front exit style. Since my order it went up $50 (Motowheels).
