Pretty sure Cracing just ordered a termi slip on from omnia racing...maybe he could chime in if had to pay any of those taxes.

Did not have to pay any import taxes or anything additional to the total given at checkout. No VAT ordered from omnia racing

No idea yet. I will measure both stock and akra weight. Headers only and full system. The heaviest part of the akra are the slipons. The rest of the system is unbelievably light as a feather.

Great - just curious if one was to only purchase the slipons, what weight savings are they giving up by not purchasing the headers as well.

Difference in weight from stock to the Akrapovic headers are no more than 2 pounds. Most of the weight savings are from the cans. Slip ons could easily save you 5 pounds but probably more.

Did I see right Trauma your going to wait for the new termi system???

After all my talk on the Akra's, I think I always secretly wanted Termis. This new design was the final straw - I ordered them today! Price is $2588 delivered. I'll let everyone know when they arrive :)

Definitely will be interested to see/hear these. That for carbon full system? or just slips?

I just tallied up, and with this purchase, I have officially spent as much on this bike as I paid for it - I am thinking this is my first and last Ducati :)

At least I know you're serious... I've read one forum member saying he would never buy another ducati after his first 1199, but went to buy 2 more along with plans to buy a 1299 now lol maybe he can switch his name to red15pani

So what is the difference in the new Termis. Since I'm new to the Duc family I've been trying to learn the In-n-Outs (for you Calif folks) on the bike. I've noticed the WSBK bikes having a different configuration and found that these pipes are a 'long manifold' variant to put more midrange torque in the bike. Interestingly thought the WSBK Aks also have a cross over pipe between the manifolds. This I suspect is to arrive at the same need for more midrange. Any thoughts?

Other than the fact they use carbon fiber like the other Termis, and exit at the front rather than the rear - I don't think we know any other comparisons.

Oops, I thought I was in the Akrapovic thread related to price. Silly me.

Give me some time and I can work that out for you. I weighed every piece of both OEM and full Akra as I pulled it all apart and wrote it all down somewhere.

1 Akrapovic race silencer weight, (4.4lb X 2 = 8.8LB)

In comparison the full termi system is 18.8LB, so 5.8LB Heavier then the Full Ti Akro system.

Just for you Trauma.

The Akra bits weigh 2375 grams including two brackets and springs.

The OEM bits weigh 3835 grams.

The servo motor which you remove weighs 420 grams.

The Akra mufflers weigh 3850 g for both.

Both OEM is 6700 grams.

Just the headers. Akra front and rear weigh 210 and 290 and OEM weigh 600 and 700 g.

OEM heat shield is 350 grams and Akra Carbon is 210 grams.

Some of these weights would be plus or minus about 10 grams as I used a small kitchen scale. When I measured some of these bits. I have since bought a nice little electronic scale which measure with accuracy to 1/10 of a gram.

Did you find your ferret ?

This is great - so getting the new Termis only, just costs me about 1.5 pounds, which I can live with. I will weigh the new Termis when they come in. They now are shipping next week, and 4-5 days in transit. As for the ferrets, it seems they multiply quite rapidly, and now I have 4!!!
