I bought a helmet from Italy, delivered by DHL Express, and was charged 3% by VISA only.

However, I had to return it and they credited me back the amount in Euros and VISA refunded the transaction fee... since the exchange rate had gone down even further, the purchase price amount refunded was less and the fee was 3%of that so that was lower as well.

I have since ordered something that will be delivered by USPS after being handed off by DHL. I am anxiously waiting to see if and how any taxes will be collected or reported.

Just FYI, safety equipment is supposedly duty-free so helmets wouldn't apply there. Really kind of a crap shoot on import tariffs and sales taxes, and it depends on what you buy, from what source country and what destination state you're in. TN for instance, definitely comes after sales taxes on int'l sales that are reported to them (which Fedex does), but other states may not. Also once got a customs fee bill from Fedex that wasn't even for the import tariff, it was basically just a Fedex processing fee for running the item through customs.

I bought my mags from Omnia a couple years ago, just paid shipping.

Not to get off topic here...but I've been looking into getting the mags for a bit now...is it worth the $2500 in your opinion? Ive seen about 30 different weight measurements on the stock base wheels so I'm not too concerned with that per se. Just the feel and look

The Akra is finally priced in impulse-buy territory. Is tuning needed on a Pani R with full termis and the up-map? I imagine so but want to hear from owners.

Yes for optimum results you should tune and I went with Rexxer but Akra state they will run without one but i wouldn't do it.

Many dealers and akra have all said Termi Maps dont work with the Akra. But you can buy a RapidBike and cure that.

I got the forged mags for $2600 - and coming from the base wheels, I swear it felt like I had been pulling a trailer when I first rode with them!! Of course after a couple years I am used to them...

That's a tempting price. So has anybody pulled the trigger and purchased one from here?

I am highly doubtful you will receive this exhaust for sub- $3000.

then again, I may be wrong.

If anybody buys this and receives it please let us know!

Hell, I'd buy one now and pray it fits all the 2015's without a hitch :D

From base wheels- easier answer is YES.

From the S or R wheels, probably no unless you are a track junkie and get her into triple digits.

I just pulled the trigger :)

I emailed caprimoto and got a reply saying exhausts are not "usually" subject to import duties. I was also told they never heard of anyone paying sales tax.

Take that for what it's wirth. In any event, please reply back and let us know after u get your exhaust if you were assessed any of these extra costs. Thanks.

It's different in Switzerland. Here, 8% VAT always apply, plus adminstration fees. But I'm used to it. Still good price.

Unfortunately my order has been cancelled by CarpiMoto, even thou amount has been booked from my credit card. Seems to be a bit messy, I'll check tonight with the credit card clearing center what happened exactly. CarpiMoto insists on secured credit card payment (card number, exp date, code on back of card, plus password).

oops. I arrogantly assumed you were in the States lol.

I mailed them regarding delivery date and received an answer a couple of minutes ago: CarpiMoto said that they expect the exhaust from Akravovic next week...
