I fitted these too, had carbon on the R1's we raced and crashed at Philip island, they wore through, had a mate with a 675r using GB covers, he crashed at speed and they were great, saved the motor, whilst our motor was ok the carbon ones needed substantial repair before we could re use them and then they were not so attractive in the looks department.
It's sometimes use over looks, I appreciate the time you took to paint them, look great, left mine black cause they will get used ;-)
