Well I have been working on changing my rear sets and I felt I had to add to the reviews of this product.

Giamoto was very easy to deal with, I will say beyond easy and prompt.

If quality can be expressed in presentation they have it!

This is how they arrived.

At first I thought why would they send a box so big for what I was getting. Then I picked up the box and thought, .... they sent me an empty box.....that's how insanely light these rear sets are. I would need to visit a meth lab to get a scale fine enough to measure them, but I swear they are the lightest rears sets I've ever held.

They look and feel the part. I sold my DP rear sets for these and covered the cost and delivery and then some. They really belong standard on an SL or something of that class of bike. Can't recommend them enough.

Okay I'm done

they do look beautiful Thamer, seems a shame to scuff them up with boots all over them

Rather than create a new post, i am adding my mini-review of the Giamoto set that I received a few weeks ago, but got installed this weekend. As Thamer said the packaging is really nice and the finish on the rearset is beautiful. I didn't weigh the rearset pieces compared to the original during the installation, but they feel light.

Installation on the brake side was a breeze, while the gear side was a bit more fiddly. I removed the gear shift lever from the standard and Giamoto rearset during installation to get better access to the screw through the shift rod, but otherwise that side was pretty easy.

I have only used them on the bike for a few hours so far, but first impressions are very positive. Grip on the pegs are good and the feel of the levers is smooth and better than the standard ones, but that might just be me :)

I am running the normal shift pattern, which is what I prefer. The gear lever has a upper and lower attachment point for normal and GP shift, so as was mentioned in Gecko's thread it works with a quickshifter that supports reverse shifting.

Ok roger that, thanks!
