Well I did something a little different. I have had all the fast bikes and have a 2011 Ducati 1198 now. Me and the wife bought some Honda PCX 150 scooters awhile back and that has been the most fun I had in a long time. The 150 isn't quite fast enough to go anywhere, it is like 62 mph on flat ground. I was seriously thinking about a new 1299 but I really like my 1198 a bunch. I went out this weekend and got a new BMW C600 sport scooter. I love this damn thing! It is just so comfortable and fun to ride. The Ducati is fun to ride fast but not fun for cruising or trips. I plane to take the Beemer on some long trips. Anyone else like scooters? I am the dude with the Joe speed shirt and the little dude is my son. I talked to the sales guy on the phone before I went there. I walked in and he said, Oh... You don't look like the scooter type. LOL!

Hey enjoy your new scooter.

I have always thought scooters were gay. But I have to admit that thing looks pretty cool. And I bet it is great around the city and even big/fast enough for longer trips.

Grats on the scooter. I actually just bought my wife a Vespa 50 for her backroad commute to work and I had to ride it home as she wasn't there. After getting home I threw on my track gear and went and had some fun with the car people. Absolute blast. Never thought it would be fun, but it took me back to being a kid in South Carolina where all we rode was dirtbikes and mopeds.

Enjoy it and only you can take away your man card.

scooter

It cruises 100 mph pretty easy and will top out around 125 is what I was told. My Ducati riding buddies were asking why in the hell did I buy it. After I let them take a ride they all came back with a huge smile. It is actually very fun. My wife won't get on the 1198 but will ride on the Beemer.

I never thought I would say this, but you are making me want a scooter. :D

Ive ridden my buddy's Zuma around the paddock a lot and like that seating position.

Me and my friends actually call that the "Mafia scooter" because you can damn near hide body under the seat. I've taken the Demo up here out before and they are a lot of fun around town for sure.

nothing wrong with BMW; I've owned BMWs for a decade. It took me literally a year to decide whether to get a Multistrada or an R1200GS. It's nice to have one of each make in the garage - Ducati for the experience, BMW for the comfort.

The storage is what made me get a scooter. I love it. I never ride my bikes to town or to the store because there is no place to put anything. I ran to town and threw a full size bag of cat food under the seat and still had lots of room left. The scooter is a different experience but time for a change. I have not had a big smile on my face riding in a long time. The Ducati is serious because I ride it fast and on 1 wheel more than 2. It's nice just to ride and look around.

Caitlyn, is that you??? :)

I can tell where you bought it so I have a pretty good idea that you and I could cross paths some day. I'll flag you down if I see you so I can ride your BMW.

Congrats !! My wife has the Vespa 300 super it's pretty fast for a scooter and I always have a blast riding it !
