Sucks to hear this. Really sucks. Heal up - and hope the weather sucks for a while longer so you don't feel like you're missing out on rides.
 
good to hear you lived through it to start with. Hopefully your fully covered on your bike. IMO ya can't skimp on your insurance coverage with bikes. some companies can provide an agreed upon value for a fee. on my big bike i got a agreed value as high as i could get(and still afford) but still about 30k less than the actual cost. I could have got a actual value but i did not want to pay for that much. On my R i got replacement value. Again,, glad ya got through the T-bone as well as ya did,, the metal can be replaced as we all know,,,,

My bike has a Gopro not for cool Youtube vids. It's for the payout when someone tries to kill me.

Press charges; get a good lawyer, make sure the police secure the witness's testimony; and, sue the driver and/or settle so that you receive the compensation you deserve. Accidents happen; but fleeing the scene is criminal.

Yes they took the driver to the local hospital to run blood tests and we are waiting on the results from those. Just mostly upset about my bike. Had a lot of time and money into it just as most of us do. Just a shame with only 3k on it. Going to get creamed on the payout as I'm sure they will not take the accessories into consideration as they should. . But I'm going to try my best to get what I deserve.

Sorry to hear man. Hope you feel better soon. I have State Farm and they are fantastic with claims. They allow "rider enhancement" track days as a "learning how to control your bike under severe environments". Lol. Also they let you add all the extra goodies on payout for a total. I wrecked my 2006 Triumph Daytona at turn 1 at Thunderhill in Chico, Ca. If you don't have State Farm, you should call them soon for your new bike :D
