Collect receipts and pics of your accessories. They have to pay it if you can document what was on the bike.
 
I wish you all the best with your injury recovery and the bike. Same thing happened to me in 1980 the day before John Lennon was murdered. I was on a 1100 Suzuki, same thing someone ran a stop sign.

Glad you came out ok. You can get another bike.
 
Speedy recovery and I hope that you are able to work with the insurance to get yourself properly compensated.

Sucks to hear this. Really sucks. Heal up - and hope the weather sucks for a while longer so you don't feel like you're missing out on rides.
 
good to hear you lived through it to start with. Hopefully your fully covered on your bike. IMO ya can't skimp on your insurance coverage with bikes. some companies can provide an agreed upon value for a fee. on my big bike i got a agreed value as high as i could get(and still afford) but still about 30k less than the actual cost. I could have got a actual value but i did not want to pay for that much. On my R i got replacement value. Again,, glad ya got through the T-bone as well as ya did,, the metal can be replaced as we all know,,,,

Heal up quick man. I hope they have insurance and are worth something. My father got rear ended at a stop light to a major intersection. It was his 3rd time out on his brand new cruiser, didn't even break 300 miles. The scumbag was probably texting and driving. He wasn't worth spit, carried the minimum insurance required by NY, didn't own anything, not even the car he was driving. He walked away with a slap on the hand and no tickets. Come to find, he's a barber in the town where the accident occurred. He must have cut the officers hair who responded to the accident. After two shoulder surgeries and countess visits to the doctor, my father wakes up with back pain every day. Its still on going with the lawyer... What a long process :mad: Hope you a speedy recovery!
 
I hope you recover fully and soon.
Press charges; get a good lawyer, make sure the police secure the witness's testimony; and, sue the driver and/or settle so that you receive the compensation you deserve. Accidents happen; but fleeing the scene is criminal.

Sorry to hear man. Hope you feel better soon. I have State Farm and they are fantastic with claims. They allow "rider enhancement" track days as a "learning how to control your bike under severe environments". Lol. Also they let you add all the extra goodies on payout for a total. I wrecked my 2006 Triumph Daytona at turn 1 at Thunderhill in Chico, Ca. If you don't have State Farm, you should call them soon for your new bike :D
