So I know im not the only one that at some point want to take this machine to the drag strip and play, I have a long history of drag racing so im very familiar with a lot of different clutches. I took my V4 to the track last night and this clutch is SUPER grabby and jerky like the late model ZX10....although with that bike there is direct swap that makes it smooth as butter. Is there any "mods" out there for these bikes like a backdated 1199/1299 clutch pack? thanks for any input

From what I know, slipper clutches tend to be grabby. A lot of guys who drag modern bikes like these remove the slipper function so it can be feathered a lot more smoothly.

Did you not use the launch control? Once you're off the line it's auto-blipper all the way surely?

Launch control helps mitigate the clutch because it will modulate the throttle to reduce wheelspin/wheelies, but it's just a bandaid on the problem. Unfortunately, while a slipper clutch is an objectively great feature on any track race bike, it is a big hindrance for drag bikes. Simply removing the slipper function can improve times by tenths of a second, sometimes more. The V4 has a particularly grabby one, so I imagine it'd see a lot of improvement from removing that function. However, I can't imagine many people buying a V4 to turn into a drag bike, so I doubt anyone will actually do that.

That would be me :D Not the sole purpose I bought it, but id really like to see what this bike can do at the strip.
