The process as I know it without looking at the manual:
1. Place the bike on stands. The front preferably with a stand that picks up the bike at the lower triple.
a. Grab a cold one and do a walk around. Make sure that the bike is secure and everything looks straight.
2. Mark where the Upper clamp sits vs. the forks. Take note that the CNC might be different in thickness. Hopefully it sits on the clipons.
b. Make another libation, preferably stronger than the previous as you Google measurements etc.
3. Unhook DES connectors (for S and R models).
c. Make sure you understand how everything is bolted etc as you take another sip of your drink.
4. Prep the CNC Upper by loosening the bolts (If they come with them).
5. Crack the stem nut loose. Take note of how much torque it has.
6. Loosen upper triple allen bolts. Slowly slide it off the forks.
7. Remove the stock stem nut with the tool.
8. Apply the CNC stem nut. Torque per specs .
9. Apply the CNC Upper by pressing it slowly onto the forks.
d. Check alignment as you take another drink. Make another one if you have to.
10. Bolt down the CNC Upper Clamp.
11. Move the Steering side to side. Make sure it is "tight" (no up and down movement) and does not grab around the stem.
e. Chug another drink and recheck your work.
12. Apply DES Cables (for S/R models)
13. Turn on the bike to make sure everything is ok. Check for errors/codes.
14. Take the bike off the stands and take it for a test ride.
15. Report your progress here. You are our Guinea pig.
