Guess what finally showed up at my door steps?

now you need the rotors $$$$$$$$

Yea I have my eye on a set of galfer full floating wave rotors. Waiting for these to wear down a bit. Noticed a bit of corrosion on the rotors though (ABS/speed sensor ring and bolts) when I changed the forks. I may be changing them sooner along with hard anodizing them.

The CF wheels are a huge improvement in terms of diving faster into corners, faster flicking, braking, accelerating and and what i noticed that people dont talk about much is gas savings from the base wheels to CF. Huge differance in Rotating mass. You will feel the difference right away. Best mod for the Base IMHO.

Speedymoto on the front and rear wheels. Not the prettiest but I know they will do its job had them on all my bikes and never had a wheel scratched on all the low sides I've ever had.

That will be my next mod...BST wheels on my "S".

Question? Would there be a huge difference as the "S" forged wheels are already light? Is the Carbon wheels by BST a lot lighter than my forged "S" Marchesinis?

Thanks,
Miguel

The S wheels are pretty light already i think a total of 8 lbs approximately (4 lbs on the front and 4 lbs on the rear) more than the BST CF you would see performance difference with the BST but it really depends on how good you ride. Average riders on the street won't be able to tell the difference between the S wheels forge aluminum, forge magnesium or CF. But anyone would notice a huge difference between the cast aluminum that's on the base and CF. IMHO if you are a track addict then you know that 8 lbs of rotating mass is huge and it's worth the upgrade if not stick with the S wheels they are good wheels but i dont particular like the looks just my opinion. One thing you don't have to worry about CF wheels is moisture inside the tire or corrosion as you would on the aluminum or magnesium wheels. I live near the beach and I see corrosion already on the abs/speed sensor ring, rotor disk and Rotor bolts but none on the BST wheels. They are shinny and bright as day 1.

As ScrapperX said, there is virtually no difference between S wheels and anything else, as they are already super-light.

I have a Ducati launch pres-slide with wheel weights that makes for some interesting reading - will dig it out for you.

Front S wheel is a smidgen lighter than a BST.

Rear S wheel is around 0.7kg heavier than a BST.

The Base wheels give you over 2kg additional unsprung weight.

But the S wheels aren't forged mags, they're forged aluminum and weigh more then 2.7/3.5 of mags. Aluminum weighs 3.4/4.5 - not to mention the BSTs (CF) are outlawed on a handful of tracks.
