I read all the "heat issues" threads and I was not sure where to post my thoughts, I am just a new owner of a 2013 panigale S, just got it 3 days ago and already rode it for over 300 kms, prior to buying this bike I read the forum and noticed all the heat issues threads, now when I actually have the bike I can say that I do not notice any heat coming from the exhaust manifold, there seems to be the new shield installed on my 2013 model which I am easily able to touch with a hand after long ride, but
!!!I am still noticing some serious heat issues!!!
but they are not coming from the exhaust manifold, they are coming in my opinion from the cylinder head (is that how this is called in english? its at the top of the engine right under my balls), it makes the seat very hot and it makes the fuel tank very hot as well, and this is exactly the two places where my balls are touching the bike
Keep in mind that I am riding in leathers and the weather now is just a slight spring, not very hot yet, I also noticed that even though I can touch exhaust manifold cover with a bare hand and do not get burned, I am unable to touch the cylinder head cover!! it burns!! I am not sure what to do with this, currently its not a deal breaker but I would love to have children in a couple of years, I was thinking of putting some kind of a heat cover under the seat and possible on the fuel tank, any thoughts?
Oh I forgot to mention that I am not showing off the bike in the city at 50kmph, I mostly rode freeway at speeds exceeding 150kmph and the heat was still an issue!!
