I like the carbon cover - full system it is! whether this works better than the standard on who knows?

Just FYI, but you can get the carbon-cover aftermarket for a couple hundred bucks.

Also, its a BIG job to fit the headers. I don't like people messing with my ride, so until I gain a bike lift and can DIY, its slips for me :p

the less money I give my dealer the better so Im with you on that, less he has his hands on the bike the better;)...I've not seen any CF covers as good the DP one...I'll start looking though!

Check this link, they make good stuff:

So I have to spend 4k more to make the bike "bearable." I don't like having to be pushed for the full termi system so it can make perhaps a slight difference.
Can't wait until mine comes in and I can decide for myself. I have heard from, "no worse than the 1098 to seeing legs burns.
I expect better. Avoiding traffic lights just sounds crappy.

Does anyone have a Termi slip on installed and can attest to less heat output? Im considering doing the slip on if it will reduce the leg heat.

I have been riding mine for about 500 miles now. My experience is that there is a considerable amount of heating coming from the exhaust header that is looped just in befor the seat. The heat comes up and gets trapped between the seat and my inner thighs. Over 50mph it virtually goes away. Under 50mph it's just painful and annoying. I have a buddy that had the same type issue on the right side of his Buelle 1125. He had his header ceramic coated and said it completely removed the problem. I am going to do this to the 1199 in a couple weeks and I will report back.
