I just installed these, but just put your grips in the microwave a few minutes before riding :D

Just a star or torx wrench I think, and yes, they fit fine. These were the ones on the R that someone found, whopping $14.

Yeah, the pro-grip. This guy <-- lol

Ok, remember what size? It's not a 10mm. I was worried they didn't have the lip on the throttle grip.

You like the feel? I might get some...

Maybe these:

Always liked Domino.

I will check this evening. I used the wrong one replacing my rotor bolts with Ti, and buggered up one bolt and had to extract it.

um..can you guys keep it on topic? if these are not heated grip, it does me no good

I'm sorry I just, don't understand.....are you touring this bike? Maybe putting on some handle bars and a rear seat back? I'm sure they make some that would easily fit on this bike for you, I just don't understand why you would buy a race-bred bike made for performance and put stuff on it like that. Did you check out the Multistrada?

No offense, I just don't understand the mentality. I'm sure you can find some somewhere though.

Get heated gloves if you need to ride it in below freezing weather. A heated vest as well, wire directly to the battery, but watch your amps!

There are after market grips, but it would be a shame to use, like putting a western saddle on a thoroughbred:

Heated Grips at Motorcycle Superstore

BTW, I found an earlier post where a guy suggested using the horn power to run the grips- but recommended not using the horn while using the grips lol

here is why:
i currently hang out with a group of riders, and we head out every saturday for a road trip (almost every week), all backroad, long sweeper and twisties, pace is aggressive, we AVERAGE around 70-75 mph all back road, when the temp drop to 40F (on the mountain routes), the windchill at that pace freeze my fingers, i have a RS taichi with gortex and heat generator liner, but they become useless at that time. i can layer up for my body, but cant do the same with glove, and heated gloves are too bulky to manipulate brake/clutch at aggressive pace.

trust me, the is absolutely no "touring" in my dictionary.

I rode in Colorado through the winter and have done so everywhere (like Michigan) barring ice on the roads. I usually just suck it up and put liners under my leather gloves. You COULD put those gloves heaters in there too. I wouldn't want to put the additional load on my bike, the battery is already from a middleweight bike...

i'm completely with you, I want to extend my season as much as possible, and even though my K has heated grips, I'd rather suffer and ride the Pani. You can find something that fits, our bars are pretty standard, and use the horn wire as the one post suggested.

Trauma, can you just remember if the throttle tube fit properly in the grip? You know how the grip overlaps the plastic ring on the inside?

i was hopping to hear real life feedback if someone already did this on their bike, what they like and what they dont, anyone?

if not i would just sell the Pani and buy the S1000RR, they come with heated grips :D
