I track my 1299 and my S1000RR. At this time I havent tracked my bike with the Ohlins set up. However I did use a buddies bike last year with a Ohlins front and rear set up he ordered from me and I felt the difference. Granted we had to adjust the suspension for me. I used the bike for 2 days. He rode my 1299 with stock suspension. So here is what I will tell you. Was there a difference? Yes there was. It was noticeable and made me more confident. I could give you a write up on the pro's of this suspension. But that would be a thesis. Only you can say whether the extra money on the suspension is worth it for you. It took me 4 years to finally take the plunge and get the Ohlins forks and rear shock on my Duc. In the meantime I was doing other upgrades. Some questions you can ask yourself are how many times a year do I tack the bike. Do I want better performance on the track or the street as well. And as for the streets yes I saw an improvement but not that much where I can say oh I needed the Ohlins. Are you chasing a championship, part of a small time race team, or tracking for fun. However if performance is your end game no matter what then get the suspension.Yes I agree labor to do just cartridges will be the same as full shocks. And afterwords you have two sets of forks. I'm just curious how much better they are at the track opposed to the sacks
What cartridges are going into your FGRT 214's? You are swapping out the Ohlins 30mm cartridge kit that come with the FGRT 214's?Sure I save all my oem parts and put bike back to stock when I sell.
I have the fgrt 214 that I am currently having fkr carts installed into them for my v4

FGRT can be had for 2k
FKR carts are 2k
Nix30 Carts 1k
many suspension shops have deals on NIx30 carts + rear shock
FKR is the newest tech spring pressurized, essentially the internals from the new FGR 250. Nix 30 was the older tech gas pressurized system. The idea is that spring pressurized is more straight forward design more consistent higher performing system.

I haven't this will be my first season on FKR, I would never ride anything other then Öhlins. There is no scenario where it would make sense for me to tryanything else, there is already limited info on Ducatis compared to Japanese bikes I wouldn't ever compound that by running another suspension brand
I suggest doing the research ie learning what the parts retail for and what deals are available on the net AND THEN take the bike to a good suspension shop (not the one you used last time : ) and see what they suggest and want to charge for it all. By it all I mean not just getting and installing the parts but setting the bike up the way THEY see fit for your starting point. Which obviously might be different from shop to shop. Im not referring to the pricesI suggest calling Fast Bike Industries and asking them what they can do
