Help me mod a heel rest onto my right peg

After installing an undertail exhaust on my V2, I don’t have a spot for my heel to rest. This is causing problems on the track in right turns. Take a look at the picture and spit ball any ideas you have to mod a heel rest. Thanks in advance!

You are saying the heel is getting too close to the exhaust cover and / or tire?

Kind of. There no place to rest my heel which isn’t allowing me to balance myself on the balls of my right foot

Why can’t you either space the footpeg out from its mounting or space the heel guard ?

The heel guard is too far forward to be of any use. I was hoping someone ran into this problem and Jerry rigged something to rest their heel on

Why are you needing to rest your heel on anything? If you are trying to protect the carbon fiber heat shield from your boot, in the section which is indented it looks like you could shape a piece of metal to fit which would prevent your boot from contacting the carbon fiber.

Engage your calf more to get your heel higher and knee/hip more open. Or just remove it

Correct body position would alleviate the issue. Rider is using heel guard as a heel rest. Maybe from physical limitation? Maybe from improper technique?

OP, are you melting your boot? Or trying to protect the exhaust?

My boot heel is sliding off the carbon fiber shield. It’s very slippery

Your foot position and technique is the problem. Ball of foot on peg preferably the end of peg for right turns. There are endless videos on YouTube that can help
