I only use the rubber plug at the track when I remove the lights, otherwise I just leave he plug out. You have it right though. Did you find the screws bottom out? I feel when I get them fully in they are bottoming out and the tail section moves a bit.

um i couldnt figure out where that was suppose to go. ...., i just went out and tried to put it on but with the wires it looks like it might pop off eventually. ........, everything went smooth now this...
does this look right??
Jay - you do know the wires go through the plug, and then you put the plug in. The plug doesen't go in the hole after the wires. Or did I miss something here?

He's done it right. You just really have to get the wires in the groove.

I got my DP fender eliminator today and was looking at this thread for help to install it. I am new to Panigale and so I couldnt make out a lot from this thread.
Can anyone please help me here..
Here is a video that I found shows the initial steps of opening the stock fender.
