No sir I have it adjusted to Ducati specs. Id say it would need almost 2 inches of slack to contact exhaust. If you have that much slack you probably shouldn't be riding bikes. ha

Hello HKMP7,
What is your current gearing ratio front and back and how much chain link you have to cut from the original 120 links for the EK 3D Chain?
Thanks in advance

DP Pro Grip
The 18-19 V4 and V4S come with the standard black Ducati grips. They are a bit hard and on longer rides they make my throttle hand go numb. These are a softer and they help with dampening the vibrations. They also have that pop of red.

These are the same as Pro Grip 717

I just spent the last day reading over this thread and all I can say is wow. Well done, fantastic tastes, and the speed of execution is inspiring.

The psychology behind marketing bit was entertaining, I often wonder the same thing. What in the world prompts people to bag and slam sedans or jack up their trucks with a 10in lift is beyond me. Then I look at myself and realize how extreme my take is on the 2 wheel variety. I want the lightest, most minimalistic racebike for the road, stopping short of an wsbk tail and foam pad. Simply put, there are more convenient and comfortable options for the street. Yet I dont care.

Personal preference, but I found the sprocket carrier busy with all the bolts. If you love it that's all that matters, just curious what your thoughts were and if the stark contrast between matte black components and ti surprised you.

Also, the grips look great but something is missing and that something is safety wire! May just be the racer in me, but the look and feel of wired grips is a small detail that levels up a cockpit, especially one as nice as yours. Double loop it and bury the tail in the grip.

Thanks I appreciate the kind words. I thought about safety wiring the grips but used grip glue instead but trust me the racer in me almost did it. The theme for the bike was black ti bolts on the red pieces and silver ti bolts on the matte pieces. I did the shiny bolts on flat pieces is so the body lines don't get lost with dark bolts. The bolts being so pronounced are to accentuate the art behind these machines and how they are just "bolted" together.

P.S. speaking of safety wire. I love this look.

I cant help but laugh at the fact we have a bunch of dudes ranting online about the aesthetic value of safety wire, forget the functionality. Haha. I do love me some safety wire!

What grip glue have you had success with, every brand I've tried inevitably twists on me.

Ive been using Renthal grip glue since 2001

Ilmberger Ignition cover
I wanted to get rid of the plastic cover with all the writing on it. (Who uses those other two key positions anyway) So I got this carbon piece without the writing.
Per usual I cleaned and coated it.

The fitment was good it lined up with the ignition studs and the inner fairing covers with no issues.

I got this initially without the adapter set but didn't like the fitment so I ordered it and now it fits much better.

I definitely need this. So when I'm racing through the grocery store parking lot none of the shopping carts accidentally activate my brake. ;)

After all the hours of prep and getting the bike dialed in it was finally ready to hit the streets. I didn’t just want to take some iPhone pictures so I hired a pro photographer to shoot it.

Rear reservoir swap

I didn't like the look of the factory rear reservoir so I searched for a replacement. I bought the Rizoma CT015B but didn't like the fit. The res didn't fit flush in the stock res bracket. Then I remembered that Brembo makes a smoke version of the stock reservoir which comes on the new SF V4. So here it is and it flows with the rest of my theme well. Sidenote now I don't have to see the dark brake fluid anymore ha.

Notice the distance between the body of the res and the mounting bolt

I later replaced the mounting bolt with a drilled ti one.
